When should you choose this anti-aging cream for combination skin?

Lierac Premium La Crème Soyeuse is the lightweight cream from the Premium line, designed for normal to combination skin, even sensitive skin. It meets the need for a moisturizing face cream that also addresses the appearance of wrinkles, firmness, and radiance, without the richness of a cream for dry skin. Its formula combines the line’s patented botanical trio—white sandalwood extract, houseleek extract, and baobab seed extract—with hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, the form of vitamin B3 used in cosmetics, and a mattifying plant-based powder.

Its creamy, rich, and delicate texture glides over the skin like silk. It hydrates the skin thanks to glycerin—listed among the first ingredients—and hyaluronic acid, two ingredients that help retain water in the skin’s outer layers. The mattifying powder in the formula reduces shine, making it ideal for areas where the skin tends to get shiny throughout the day.

Beyond hydration, the cream addresses the appearance of signs of aging: wrinkles, dark spots, firmness, radiance, elasticity, and density. In a clinical study conducted on 28 volunteers, with two applications per day, an expert evaluation after 3 months noted smoother, firmer skin and a more even complexion. These results describe the skin’s appearance, as visually assessed, following regular use. The formula contains 95% naturally derived ingredients and has been dermatologically tested.

It is used as a standalone cream, both morning and night, after applying serum. It is particularly suitable for spring and summer, when heat makes rich textures uncomfortable, and for combination skin where the T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin) shines while the cheeks remain normal. It is also designed for skin that, as it ages, retains a combination tendency and does not tolerate the feel of a thick cream well, while showing the first signs of wrinkles and a loss of radiance. Its floral fragrance, with notes of jasmine, rose, and ylang-ylang, is shared by the entire Premium line. The glass jar is refillable: a 50-ml refill replaces the empty cream.

La Crème Soyeuse is applied to the face and neck; the skin around the eyes, which is thinner and more mobile, requires a texture specifically designed for it. We also recommend the Filorga NCEF-Revitalize Eyes eye care product: applied in a small amount around the eyes, it targets the only area not covered by the cream, while La Crème Soyeuse takes care of the rest of the face and neck.

How should you apply La Crème Soyeuse daily?

Directions for Use

Apply morning and evening to the face and neck, after the serum. Spread the cream from the center of the face outward—from the chin, nose, and center of the forehead toward the temples—then repeat the motion until the formula is fully absorbed.

Precautions

  • For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with clean water.
  • Do not apply to broken or irritated skin.
  • Contains fragrance and fragrance ingredients listed in the ingredients list (Tetramethyl Acetyloctahydronaphthalenes, Linalyl Acetate, Juniperus Virginiana Oil, Geranyl Acetate): do not use if you have a known allergy to any of these ingredients.
  • If redness, stinging, or irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a pharmacist or doctor.
  • Refill: For use only with the La Crème Soyeuse glass jar; place it in the clean, empty jar in place of the old cap, and remove the seal before use.
  • Close the jar tightly after use. Keep out of reach of children.

Our expert advice on Lierac Soyeuse Cream

For combination skin, a common mistake is applying the same amount everywhere. It’s better to apply the cream more generously to the cheeks and neck, and more sparingly to the T-zone. Skipping the cream to reduce shine isn’t a good idea: combination skin is often dehydrated, even when it’s shiny. In winter, if your cheeks feel tight, a second thin layer in the evening on these areas is often enough. Applied to skin that’s still slightly damp after cleansing, it spreads more easily, and a small amount is sufficient.

This cream contains no sunscreen. In the morning, on sunny days, or when exposed to the sun, facial sunscreen remains essential to protect against the dark spots and wrinkles it targets. It also does not replace a specialized treatment for existing breakouts or blackheads, and skin that reddens easily should be evaluated by a professional before layering on multiple products. Finally, a cream’s effectiveness is best judged after several weeks of regular use, not after a single application.

FAQ

What’s the difference between Lierac Premium’s La Crème Soyeuse and La Crème Voluptueuse?

La Crème Voluptueuse, the other cream in the line, is designed for normal to dry skin. Its rich, ultra-comfortable texture leaves a velvety finish, and its formula contains shea butter, which is not found in La Crème Soyeuse.

Does the refill for La Crème Soyeuse contain the same cream as my jar?

Yes. The ingredient list published by Lierac is identical for both the jar and the refill, with the same formula reference (4131A-1).

Can I use La Crème Soyeuse if I have oily skin?

Lierac does not recommend it for oily skin. Oily or acne-prone skin generally achieves a better balance with a product designed for that skin type.

Can I use La Crème Soyeuse with the Sérum Absolu Récupération Nocturne?

Yes. Lierac recommends using this serum from the Premium line in the evening, applied before the cream: La Crème Soyeuse then takes over as a night cream; the serum does not replace it.
