When should you take Age-Well creatine capsules?

Humble+ Creatine+ Age-Well is a dietary supplement in vegetarian capsules that provides, per 5 capsules, 3.4 g of Age-Well® creatine monohydrate, or 3 g of creatine. Creatine is one of the most extensively studied active ingredientsin sports supplements;it is a molecule that the body stores primarily in the muscles.

Creatine improves physical performance during successive sets of very intense, short-duration exercises. This beneficial effect is achieved by consuming 3 g of creatine daily—the amount provided by the five capsules taken each day.

This supplement is intended for adults who engage in very intense physical exercise, including those over 40, when weight training, interval training, or sprinting are part of their workout routine. Age-Well® refers to the brand’s high-purity creatine monohydrate, containing no ingredients other than the capsule shell.

The capsules eliminate the need to measure out powder: they can be taken all at once or spread out throughout the day, making it easier to take them regularly every day, even when traveling.

The formula does not contain vitamin D, even though vitamin D helps maintain normal muscle function. For this reason, we recommend Eric Favre Vitamin D3 1000 IU, in drops, which complements the creatine with a nutrient essential for muscle function.

Our expert advice on Humble+ Age-Well creatine

Creatine only works in conjunction with exercise. Without strength training or repeated intense workouts, you shouldn’t expect any results, regardless of your age. Its effectiveness is best assessed over several weeks of daily use—including rest days—rather than after just a few sessions.

Before taking your first capsule, the only consideration is kidney function and any current medications. For an adult returning to strength training after a long break, the best course of action is to discuss this with your primary care physician at the same time you discuss resuming exercise: it is the physical exertion—more than the creatine itself—that warrants this evaluation.

FAQ

Is Humble+ Creatine+ Age-Well bad for the kidneys?

In healthy individuals, available studies show no harmful effects of creatine on the kidneys. However, long-term data are lacking for people with kidney disease.

Can I take Humble+ Creatine+ Age-Well without exercising?

Without appropriate physical activity, creatine’s effect on muscle mass remains limited. Its benefits are linked to very intense exercise: it complements a workout; it does not replace it.

What is the difference between Humble+ Creatine+ Age-Well in capsules and in powder form?

The contents are the same. Five capsules provide the same amount of creatine as one 3.4-gram scoop of Humble+ Creatine+ Monohydrate Age-Well Neutral 306 g. The capsules require no preparation; the powder can be mixed into a beverage or yogurt.
