Choose the hook adapted to the size of the tick.
Do not apply ether, alcohol or chemicals to sedate the tick.
Place the hook under the tick by engaging it from the side. Turn slowly (1 to 3 turns) while lifting slightly.
Apply an antiseptic to the wound after the tick is removed.
