Tested according to standards EN 13727, EN 13624, and EN 14476 A2, its formula is bactericidal, yeasticidal, and virucidal against a limited spectrum of pathogens within 30 seconds. The advertised 30 seconds refers to contact time, not drying time. The most common mistake is to spray once, rub for a few seconds, and then move on: hands must remain damp throughout the rubbing process, including the palms, backs of the hands, between the fingers, thumbs, and fingertips. If your hands dry out before you’re done, it’s better to spray once more than to cut the rubbing short.
The spray is not a substitute for washing: on greasy, muddy, or visibly dirty hands, alcohol is not effective; in such cases, washing with soap and water is still the best option. Save the spray for times when there’s no sink available, or when washing isn’t immediately possible.
