What is bee bread ? It is still relatively unknown in France and too rarely collected by beekeepers, bee bread, also known as bee bread , is one of the essential foods of the hive, along with honey. Collected from the pistils of flowers, the pollen is transported by honey bees to the hive.
The bees keep it in the cells, mixing it with their own secretions, and making successive layers of packed pollen and honey . Once the cell is filled, the mixture ferments naturally in the heart of the hive, thus transforming the pollen into a superfood (superfood) very well known for its energy and nutritional properties .
