Vicks VapoRub for Children contains:

How should this respiratory balm be used for children?

For topical application:

Gently massage a teaspoon-sized amount onto the chest, neck, and upper back once or twice a day.

Never exceed 2 applications per day.

1. Fill the teaspoon with ointment to the brim.
2. Turn the teaspoon inward toward the jar and remove any excess ointment if necessary by scraping the teaspoon along the rim of the jar to get the right amount.
3. Apply with your fingers.
4. Wash the spoon thoroughly after use.
5. Wash your hands thoroughly after use.
6. Keep your clothing loose around the application site to allow the product to spread properly.
7. Never apply a bandage or dressing to the application site. Never cover the application site with warm clothing or any other source of heat.

Precautions for Use

This medication contains flammable volatile substances. Never expose it to an open flame. After application, avoid proximity to an open flame. If inhaling the product via vaporization, do not use boiling water.
