Description of Imaveral Enilconazole 100 mg / ml Antimycotic Skin Solution
Imaveral is a concentrate for skin application which is used in cats, dogs, cattle and horses for the treatment of dermatophytosis due to:
- Microsporum canis
- Microsporum gypseum
- Trichophyton verrucosum
- Trichophyton mentagrophytes
- Trichophyton equinum.
This solution contains enilconazole: an antimycotic active against most dermatophytes.
How does enilconazole work?
It specifically inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of the cell membrane of fungi and yeasts.
Directions for use and dosage
Dilute the solution of Imaveral at the rate of one volume of imaveral for 50 volume of lukewarm water:
- i.e. 100 ml of imaveral for 5 liter of water
- i.e. 10 ml of imaveral for 500 ml of water
Composition
- Enilconazole: 100 mg
- Oily excipient qsp: 1 ml
Precaution of use
- Do not rinse animals after application.
- Dry the animals after application, to avoid licking.
- The concentrated emulsion is irritating to the skin and the eyes.
- Wear protective clothing such as impervious rubber gloves and safety glasses.
- If the concentrated emulsion comes in contact with the skin, immediately remove all contaminated clothing and wash the skin with plenty of soap and water.
- If the concentrated emulsion comes in contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
- Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
- In case of accidental ingestion, immediately rinse mouth with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
- Wash hands after use.
