What is Minoxidil Cooper 2% Hair Loss Treatment 3x60 ml used for?

Hair loss, whether gradual or sudden, can be an emotionally difficult experience. If you notice a decrease in hair density, particularly on the crown or at the temples, Cooper 2% Minoxidil is a leading treatment for you. Designed for both men and women, this medication specifically targets androgenetic alopecia, a very common hereditary form of hair loss. By acting directly on the scalp, it promotes hair regrowth while slowing hair loss.

The active ingredient in this product, minoxidil, works locally to stimulate blood circulation in the scalp. This stimulation improves nutrient supply to the hair follicle, thereby promoting the hair’s growth phase. The result? Visibly stronger, denser hair that is thicker and more resilient. The first signs of effectiveness generally appear after 3 to 4 months of regular treatment. It is a topical medication that is easy to use daily and recognized for its clinically proven effects.

This treatment does more than just mask symptoms. It works deep within the hair growth cycle. By helping hair follicles transition into the anagen phase (the active growth phase), 2% Minoxidil helps hair return to a healthy, prolonged growth cycle. Unlike other cosmetic solutions that provide only temporary results, this product is part of a long-term therapeutic approach. It stabilizes hair loss and reactivates dormant hair follicles, restoring hope to all those seeking a lasting solution.

Another significant advantage? Its well-established safety profile. Formulated without silicone, it is suitable for daily use on a healthy scalp. While minor irritation may occasionally occur, it is rare and reversible upon discontinuation of treatment. It is applied using a precise metered-dose spray, minimizing the risk of overuse or side effects related to improper use. Its discreet application and lack of harsh fragrance make it a reliable addition to your hair care routine.

As a topical treatment, Minoxidil Cooper 2% does not interfere with your usual hair care products: you can continue to use your shampoos, conditioners, and styling products. However, it is recommended to space out applications by at least one hour when using other products. If you’re exposed to the sun, wearing a hat is recommended. For this treatment to be effective, it requires consistency and patience: regular application is the key to your success.

How to use this product?

Product Instructions

This treatment is intended for adults—men and women—suffering from androgenetic alopecia. It should be applied twice daily, ideally in the morning and evening, directly to the dry scalp. The recommended dose is 1 ml per application, or 7 sprays distributed over the thinning area, starting from the center. After each spray, gently spread the solution with your fingers to ensure even distribution. Never exceed 2 ml per day, regardless of the size of the area to be treated.

Be sure to wash your hands thoroughly before and after application. Avoid contact with the eyes, mucous membranes, or broken skin. If shampooing, wait at least 4 hours after application. If you apply the product after washing your hair, be sure to thoroughly dry your scalp first. This treatment requires consistency and diligence: do not skip any applications and never double the dose to make up for a missed application.

Precautions

Certain precautions must be followed to avoid adverse effects. Do not use this product if you have a history of heart disease without consulting a doctor. It should not be applied to skin that is irritated, inflamed, painful, or has open sores. Do not inhale the product, and keep it away from any open flames or heat sources: it contains ethanol, a flammable ingredient.

If redness, itching, or a burning sensation persists, it is recommended that you stop using the product and consult a doctor. Similarly, if you experience any unusual symptoms such as palpitations, dizziness, swelling, or chest pain, stop using the product immediately and seek medical advice. This treatment is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

What are its ingredients?

Minoxidil, 96% Ethanol, Purified Water, Propylene Glycol

Presentation

Minoxidil Cooper 2% is available as a solution for topical application, packaged in a convenient 3 x 60 ml spray bottle, ideal for long-term treatment lasting at least three months. Each 1-ml dose corresponds to 7 sprays. This format is perfectly suited for daily use and allows for precise, quick, and hygienic application.

Of course, here is the expanded version of the product sheet with additional details to enrich the SEO content and enhance user engagement.

Why Choose Minoxidil Cooper 2%?

Choosing Cooper Minoxidil 2% as a hair loss solution means opting for a recognized, affordable, and effective treatment. Thanks to its well-documented mechanism of action, it offers a tailored solution for people suffering from moderatehormonal alopecia, whether male or female. Unlike simple cosmetic hair care products, this treatment acts at the root, at the very heart of the hair growth cycle. It reactivates dormant follicles and allows the hair to gradually regain its volume and vitality.

The 3-bottle, 60-ml pack is particularly cost-effective for starting a 3-month treatment course—the minimum recommended duration to see the first tangible results. It also makes it easy to establish a consistent, uninterrupted routine—a key factor in the success of this type of treatment. Easy to carry, this format is ideal for use both at home and on the go.

This treatment is also appreciated for its ease of use. Its pump bottle with a dispenser allows you to apply exactly the right amount, without waste. The absence of a strong fragrance or sticky texture makes it pleasant to use, even on sensitive scalps. It can be easily incorporated into your daily beauty routine, while remaining invisible once applied.

Finally, Minoxidil Cooper 2% is part of a proven therapeutic strategy: it is one of the few hair loss treatments with clinically proven effectiveness. That’s why it’s recommended by many healthcare professionals and pharmacists. With proper follow-up and consistent use, this treatment can significantly improve your well-being, your self-image, and boost your self-confidence.

Additional Advice from the Pharmacist

In addition to treatment with Minoxidil Cooper 2%, it’s essential to follow a healthy daily hair care routine. Choose a gentle shampoo free of harsh sulfates, and limit the use of heat styling tools or hairstyles that are too tight. Also, make sure to maintain a well-balanced diet: deficiencies in iron, zinc, B vitamins, or sulfur-containing amino acids can exacerbate hair loss. Remember to protect yourself from the sun after application by covering your head if necessary.

The pharmacist also advises being patient and consistent: the effects of minoxidil aren’t immediate. It takes an average of 3 to 6 months of regular use to see a slowdown in hair loss and significant regrowth. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t see results after a few weeks. This is a long-term treatment.

If you have any doubts, or if you notice any side effects, don’t hesitate to ask your pharmacist for advice. They can guide you toward complementary solutions or products tailored to your scalp type. If you’re experiencing temporary hair loss (due to stress, childbirth, seasonal changes, etc.), Ducray Creastim Reactiv hair lotion can be an excellent alternative or complementary solution.

Natural Tip to Support Your Treatment

To naturally support the action of minoxidil, opt for plant-based active ingredients that promote microcirculation and strengthen the hair follicle. Among the most well-known are horsetail, stinging nettle, and bamboo—all rich in silica—as well as essential oils of Atlas cedar and cineole-rich rosemary. In addition, taking dietary supplements rich in vitamins B6, B8 (biotin), or L-cystine can strengthen the hair shaft from the inside.

When it comes to stress management—which plays an often-underestimated role in hair health—consider adaptogenic herbs such as rhodiola, ashwagandha, or griffonia, which can help you better navigate emotionally intense periods, which are sometimes linked to increased hair loss.

By combining targeted medical treatment, gentle hair care, and natural approaches, you’ll give yourself the best possible chance of regaining healthier, stronger, and thicker hair.

Detailed information on this medication is available on the ANSM website (France).

Health Education Council:

a / What is androgenetic alopecia?

Normally the hair has a lifespan of 3 to 6 years and 50 to 100 hairs per day fall out.

More significant hair loss can occur seasonally (in the fall) or after childbirth: this loss is normal, transient and there is no need to start treatment. Alopecia is defined by hair loss greater than 100 hairs per day.

There are two types of alopecia:

· acute alopecia,

· chronic alopecia.

Acute alopecia (sudden hair loss over a short period) can be diffuse or in patches (alopecia areata) and are most often of known cause (aggressive hair care, poor general condition, poorly balanced weight loss, certain medications, shock psychic, stress ...).

These acute alopecia should not be treated with this medicine.

Chronic (long-term) alopecia is almost always diffuse.

They are sometimes due to a specific disease (thyroid, metabolic ...) and they should not be treated with this medication. In the great majority, these chronic alopecias are of poorly understood origin, most often of a hereditary nature : it is androgenetic alopecia. Only this type of alopecia can be treated with minoxidil.

b / How to recognize androgenetic alopecia?

In women: androgenetic alopecia is diffuse: there is an overall decrease in hair density. The hair gradually lightens from the parting.

In humans: androgenetic alopecia begins with baldness of the temporal gulfs. Then a slight tonsure appears at the top of the head. These two areas devoid of hair will gradually enlarge: androgenetic alopecia gradually evolves into baldness.

c / Some advice for use

· Use a mild shampoo (preferably without silicone).

If you shampoo after applying minoxidil, respect a period of 4 hours after this one. If you are applying minoxidil after shampooing, it is recommended to do so on a dry scalp. You can use a hair dryer after applying minoxidil, preferably in a warm position.

· You can use styling mousse, gels or sprays with a minimum delay of 1 hour between applications.

· There is no interaction between your treatment with minoxidil and your perms or coloring treatments, but it is preferable to limit them because of their aggressiveness on the hair.

· If you plan to be in the sun after applying minoxidil, it is recommended that you cover your hair.

d / Some additional information

· At the start of treatment, over a short period of time, an increase in hair loss may occur. This hair was meant to fall out and does it faster. This is normal, please continue treatment.

· The first hair that grows will be soft, fluffy and not very visible. As you continue with your treatment, they may change and thicken.

allergy
Skin reaction (itching, pimples, swelling) or general discomfort appearing after contact with a particular substance, use of a medicine or ingestion of food. alopecia
General or partial loss of hair or hair.

arterial hypertension
Excessive pressure (tension) of blood in the arteries. This pressure is provided by the heart and is expressed by two digits. It is maximum during the contraction of the heart, or systole (first number), and minimum during cardiac rest, or diastole (second number). High blood pressure is characterized by a maximum (systolic) pressure greater than or equal to 16, or a minimum pressure (diastolic) greater than or equal to 9.5. Treatment is initiated when these figures are exceeded or for lower blood pressure in certain people with cardiovascular risk factors: heredity, smoking, diabetes, excess cholesterol. Permanent antihypertensive treatment helps limit damage to the heart and blood vessels caused by high blood pressure.

mucous membranes
Tissue (membrane) that lines the cavities and ducts of the body communicating with the outside (digestive tract, respiratory system, urinary tract, etc.).

neuritis
Damage to a nerve which may be due to diseases or to various causes: diabetes, alcoholism, intoxication, drugs. When several nerves are affected, the term polyneuritis is used. Some medicines can damage the optic nerve (optic neuritis) and cause vision problems.

edema
Accumulation of water or lymph causing localized swelling.

transaminases
Enzymes measured in the blood, the level of which rises in certain hepatitis. They appear in blood tests as SGOT and SGPT or ASAT and ALAT.
