Scots pineessential oil hasantiseptic propertiesfor the respiratory tract, helping with the flu and bronchitis. It helps relieve congestion in the upper respiratory tract (sinusitis). Pinus silvestris essential oil has corticosteroid-stimulating effects and is effective for treating asthenia. It is antibacterial and antifungal. This essential oil is also expectorant, balsamic, oxygenating, rubefacient, and a percutaneous analgesic. It promotes healing and has local anti-inflammatory properties. It also acts as a lymphatic decongestant and has hypertensive effects.

The Scots pine provides an essential oil long known to our grandmothers, who, even back then, benefited fromits soothing effect on the bronchi by inhaling this essential oil from northern climates. It thrives in mountainous areas and on sandy or gravelly soils; it has purple-gray bark, sturdy needle-like leaves, yellow male flowers and red female flowers, and an ovoid cone that is green when young and turns brown when mature.

Pranarôm’s Scots Pine essential oil offers a natural solution for clear breathing and optimal respiratory well-being. Renowned for its many beneficial properties, this essential oil is a must-have for any natural care kit.
