Poly-Karaya Granule 30 Sachets 10g is a medicine which contains a mucilage regulating the intestinal transit (karaya gum) and a digestive dressing   (crospovidone) which protects the digestive tract and combats the production of gas. It is used in the symptomatic treatment of intestinal transit disorders : diarrhea, constipation, bloating.  

The karaya, main therapeutic values
The karaya is coveted for many medicinal virtues. It is an anti-inflammatory par excellence but also a good laxative . Doctors prescribe it for people with chronic constipation or other inorganic colopathies such as abdominal weather. Precautions for use

Take special care with POLY-KARAYA, granulated :

  • Due to the presence of sucrose, this medication should NOT be used in case of fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome or sucrase-isomaltase deficiency (rare metabolic diseases).
  • In case of megacolon (dilation of part or all of the large intestine), this medicine will be used with caution.
  • This medicine contains 3.55 g of sucrose per sachet (maximum daily amount of 10.65 g): take this into account in the daily ration in the event of a diet low in sugar or diabetes.

Take special care with POLY-KARAYA, granulated:

Because of the presence of sucrose, it should NOT be used in patients with fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome or sucrase-isomaltase deficiency (rare metabolic diseases).

In case of megacolon (dilation of part or all of the large intestine), this drug will be used with caution.

This medicinal product contains 3.55 g of sucrose per sachet (maximum daily quantity 10.65 g): take it into account in the daily diet in the case of a low-sugar diet or diabetes.
