What are the properties of Calendula officinalis?

Calendula officinalis has many therapeutic properties and its external use in herbal medicine is increasingly supplanting internal use.

Externally, Calendula is traditionally used:

  • in cosmetics, calendula is particularly appreciated for treating skin problems: irritations, redness, inflammation of the skin (psoriasis, eczema, acne...), itching, cradle cap in infants, cracks appearing during breastfeeding....
  • in dermatology, in the context of external lesions , calendula not only soothes wounds, sunburns, minor burns but it also heals them. It also has the effect of naturally regenerating the skin.
