In cats and dogs:
- treatment and prevention of flea infestations due to Ctenocephalides spp. for 1 month after single dose administration of the drug. This is due to the adulticidal, larvicidal and ovicidal activity of the drug. The product has ovicidal activity for 3 weeks after administration.
By reducing the amount of fleas, the monthly treatment of the pregnant and lactating female helps prevent infestation of puppies and kittens from litter by fleas until the age of 7 weeks.
The drug can be integrated into a therapeutic program against flea allergy dermatitis (DAPP) and through its ovicidal and larvicidal activity can help to stop existing infestations in the environment of the animal.
- Prevention of heartworm disease due to Dirofilaria immitis by monthly administration of the drug.
