Formulated by Novalac Laboratories, this AR infant formula uses a specific carbohydrate—starch—that naturally thickens in the stomach, thereby reducing the risk of reflux.

The starch in Novalac Expert AR thickens in the infant’s stomach, which helps keep stomach contents in place and thereby reduces gastroesophageal reflux. How do you use this powdered formula?

• Wash your hands thoroughly before preparing bottles.
• Clean and then sterilize the bottle and its accessories (in boiling water for 10 minutes or using another appropriate method).
• Use mineral or spring water suitable for infants, or pure water that has been boiled for 5 minutes and then cooled to room temperature.
• Heat the mineral water to a maximum of 40°C and pour the required amount into the bottle.
• Add the corresponding number of level, not heaped, measuring spoons, using 1 scoop per 30 ml of water (use only the scoop included in the box).
• Close the bottle and roll it vigorously between the palms of your hands to prevent lumps from forming.
• Then shake it up and down until the powder is completely dissolved.
• Check the temperature (<37°C) by pouring a few drops onto the inside of your forearm.
• Feed the bottle to your child immediately.
