When should you take this magnesium supplement to reduce fatigue?

Iana Muscles Recovery is a plant-based dietary supplement in capsule form. Its formula combines two root extracts—eleuthero, often called Siberian ginseng, and maca, in the form of Macanity™, an extract of red maca from Peru—with three minerals: potassium, provided as chloride and the first ingredient in the formula; magnesium, in the form of oxide; and zinc, in the form of sulfate. A rice protein hydrolysate rounds out the composition.

The 4 capsules taken daily provide 300 mg of potassium, 56.3 mg of magnesium, and 1.5 mg of zinc—equivalent to 15% of the Reference Intake for each of these three minerals. Magnesium helps reduce fatigue. Potassium and magnesium contribute to normal muscle function. Finally, zinc contributes to normal protein synthesis and helps protect cells against oxidative stress.

Eleutherococcus (Eleutherococcus senticosus) is a thorny shrub native to the forests of Eastern Siberia, northeastern China, and Korea, which can withstand very harsh winters. Its nickname, “Siberian ginseng,” comes from its root, which is used in a similar way, but it belongs to a different botanical genus than Asian ginseng (Panax ginseng): the two plants are not interchangeable. It is a plant with a long tradition in Siberia and Asia, and its dried root is used.

Maca (Lepidium meyenii), an Andean relative of the radish, is cultivated in Peru on wind-swept high-altitude plateaus; its dried root is part of the traditional diet of the highlands. Iana Muscles Recovery is taken twice daily, in the morning and evening, as part of a short course rather than continuously. It is ideal during periods when physical activity resumes or intensifies: returning to sports after a break, preparing for a multi-day hike, the gardening season, or a home improvement project.

Iana Muscles Recovery contains neither turmeric nor boswellia. For times when your joints are also under strain, we recommend Chondro-Aid Flash Caps by Arkopharma, a short-term formula containing turmeric, boswellia, and black sesame, in capsule form. The two formulas share no active ingredients or minerals and can therefore be taken at the same time.

How should you take these eleuthero and maca capsules?

Directions for Use

Take 2 capsules in the morning and 2 capsules in the evening, with a large glass of water. Take for 10 days; repeat if necessary.

Precautions

  • For adults only.
  • Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
  • If you are taking medication, consult a healthcare professional.
  • Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
  • This dietary supplement is not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
  • Keep out of reach of young children.
  • Store away from heat (<30°C), moisture, and light.
  • Renal insufficiency, or treatment with a potassium-sparing diuretic, an ACE inhibitor, a sartan, cyclosporine, or tacrolimus: do not take this supplement without medical advice due to its potassium and magnesium content.
  • Allow at least a 2-hour interval between taking this supplement and medications whose absorption is reduced by magnesium and zinc: antibiotics in the cycline and fluoroquinolone families, bisphosphonates, thyroid hormones (levothyroxine), and iron salts.
  • Do not take for more than 2 consecutive months due to the eleutherococcus content.
  • Eleuthero may cause insomnia, irritability, a rapid heartbeat, or headaches: if these symptoms occur, stop taking the supplement and consult a pharmacist or doctor.
  • Do not take this product in combination with any other dietary supplement containing potassium, magnesium, zinc, eleuthero, ginseng, or maca.

Our Expert Advice on Iana Muscles Recovery

The most commonly overlooked factor is the timing of dosing. Many people take their thyroid medication in the morning on an empty stomach, and this is precisely one of the medications that magnesium and zinc can interfere with: if this applies to you, the recommended waiting period is the most important consideration for you. Let’s plan your morning routine together, and please also let us know if you’re taking any blood pressure medication, due to the potassium content.

A mineral and herbal supplement does not compensate for insufficient hydration or too little sleep, which remain the two most important factors for enjoying physical activity. If you’re planning to repeat the program, the recommended duration for eleuthero sets the pace: count the days between one box and the next rather than the number of boxes.

FAQ

Who is Iana Muscles Recovery intended for?

Iana Muscles Recovery is designed for people over 45 who maintain regular physical activity—whether through sports or daily life—and are looking for a supplement combining herbs and minerals for a short period.

What is the difference between Iana Muscles Recovery 40 capsules and Iana Muscles Tonicity 120 capsules?

Both formulas contain maca, potassium, and zinc. Iana Muscles Recovery adds eleuthero and magnesium for a short-term regimen. Iana Muscles Tonicity 120 capsules is based on spirulina and provides vitamin B6, designed for a longer regimen.

How long does it take for Iana Muscles Recovery to take effect?

No specific timeframe can be guaranteed. The supplement should be taken for the entire duration of the program, and it’s the consistency of the two daily doses that matters, rather than how you feel after the first capsule.
