When should you use Natessance organic coconut oil?
Natessance Organic Coconut Oil is a 100% pure, certified organic virgin coconut oil obtained through first cold-pressing. It comes in a 200-ml jar and joins our line of organic vegetable oils as a pure, multi-purpose oil.
A nourishing oil, it can be used for body care, on dry skin, and to condition the lengths of your hair. Its main fatty acid is lauric acid.
As a virgin oil, it retains the sweet scent of coconut. It should be used in small amounts, warmed between the hands before application.
This oil can also be consumed cold or used in cooking as a substitute for butter as part of a varied diet: it’s a dual-purpose oil, for both skincare and cooking.
For curly hair, we recommend complementing the oil treatment with Cattier Organic Curl Defining Treatment, a leave-in treatment applied to clean hair to define curls.

Our expert tips on Natessance organic coconut oil
The jar is convenient, but it’s also how the oil can become contaminated: scoop it out with a clean, dry spatula or spoon—never with wet fingers—especially if you also use it for cooking. Water that gets into the jar is what causes the oil to go rancid prematurely.
Whether in cooking or skincare, moderation is key: this oil is almost entirely composed of saturated fatty acids, so it’s best to limit your intake to the recommended daily amount and vary the types of oils you use. For hair, a small amount is enough for the lengths.
FAQ
My Natessance coconut oil is solid—is this normal?
Yes. Coconut oil solidifies below about 24°C and becomes liquid again above that temperature. This transition from solid to liquid is natural and does not affect its quality. To liquefy it, simply place the jar in a warm room or scoop out the oil and melt it between your hands.
How do I use Natessance coconut oil on my hair?
As a hair mask: Melt a small amount between your hands and apply it to the mid-lengths and ends of dry hair, then let it sit before shampooing. The roots don’t need it, especially if you have an oily scalp.
Can I use Natessance coconut oil on my face?
Coconut oil is known to be comedogenic, meaning it can contribute to the formation of blackheads on oily or combination skin. For these skin types, it should be used only on the body and hair.
