Silica and Homeopathy: A Natural Treatment for Various Conditions

Silicea is a homeopathic remedy derived from silica powder. Silica is found not only in nature in the form of minerals (quartz, SiO₂, and sand) and plants (bamboo, stinging nettle, etc.), but also in the human body. In this article, we will explore the various situations in whichSilicea is beneficial.

Main Indications for SILICEA Naturale (Quartz) Granule Tubes D10, D15, and D30

Weleda homeopathic granule tubes or globule doses can be used for a variety of symptoms; therefore, it is not possible to determine the specific indications and dosage for a particular preparation.

The homeopathic physician selects the appropriate remedy, dilution, and dosage based on the patient’s health condition and characteristic symptoms.

Patient Profiles Responsive to Silicea Homeopathic Treatment

Some individuals are more responsive to Silicea homeopathic treatment than others. Two body types have been identified as being the most responsive to this treatment:

  • Thin babies who appear almost rickety, with an anxious disposition and frequent crying.
  • Tall, slender adults who are sensitive to the cold.

Silicea offers numerous benefits for the body, particularly in the treatment and healing of suppurative infections, gynecological infections, fungal infections, bone problems, and ENT infections. Furthermore, Silicea has no side effects.

Silicea: A Homeopathic Remedy for Growth Disorders and Bone Problems

Silicea is commonly used in homeopathy to address growth disorders in children. These may include growth retardation, a tendency toward rickets, poor skin healing, or poor-quality baby teeth. In these situations, it is recommended to administer 2 granules of Silicea 5 or 10 CH three times a day.

Silicea is also prescribed to treat bone problems such as delayed fracture healing, osteoporosis, algodystrophy, bone decalcification or demineralization, and even chronic arthritis such as ankylosing spondylitis. In these cases, it is recommended to take 2 granules of Silicea 15 CH three times a day or, for long-term treatment, a dose of 15 CH once a week for 4 months (this can be combined with Calcarea Phosphorica).

Silicea: Homeopathic Treatment to Prevent and Treat ENT and Respiratory Infections

In homeopathy, Silicea is often used to prevent winter respiratory infections and ENT infections. When used preventively, it can help avoid sinusitis, bronchitis, tonsillitis, nasopharyngitis, parotitis, and other seasonal ENT conditions (coryza). The recommended dosage is one dose of Silicea 30 CH per week for 4 months.

If you have an ENT infection, the recommended dosage is 2 granules of Silicea 9 CH three times a day.

Silicea: A Homeopathic Treatment for Cystitis and Gynecological Infections

Women may experience various health issues, including urinary tract infections such as cystitis and gynecological infections (such as vulvar itching). Some women may even suffer from chronic infections. Fortunately, homeopathic remedies such as Silicea are available to provide relief.

For women suffering from chronic cystitis, it is recommended to take one dose of Silicea 30 CH once a week for four months. For women dealing with gynecological infections such as metritis, vaginitis, salpingitis, or genital herpes, it is recommended to treat the infection with one dose of Silicea 30 CH per week for a period of four months.

Precautions

Warning

Contains sucrose and lactose

Due to the presence of lactose, this medication should not be used in cases of galactosemia, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome, or lactose deficiency.

Store homeopathic medicines away from light, heat, moisture, and any sources of fragrance.

Administering Weleda Homeopathic Granules to Infants and Children

Dissolve the homeopathic granules in 100 ml of water. Since the granules take a long time to dissolve, you must prepare the mixture in advance.

Homeopathy and Pregnancy

Homeopathic remedies have no chemical toxicity, no contraindications, no interactions with other medications, and no adverse effects related to the amount ingested. Pregnant women can use them without any known risk to themselves or their unborn child, but it is best to seek advice.

Frequency of Homeopathic Use

For acute conditions, it is recommended to take homeopathic remedies every hour until symptoms improve. Once symptoms improve, doses should be spaced out to 3 or 4 times a day, then gradually tapered off.
For chronic conditions, low-potency remedies are taken 1 to 2 times a day, while constitutional remedies are taken once a week or even once a month. This decision is up to the homeopath.

What to Do If There Is No Improvement Within 24 Hours

Certain conditions cannot be treated with homeopathy through self-medication alone. Their severity requires medical advice, which can be provided by a homeopathic physician. This physician will determine whether your condition can be treated with homeopathy alone or whether your treatment needs to be supplemented with allopathic medicine.

Thyroid and naturopathy, endocrine gland treatments Thyroid and naturopathy, endocrine gland treatments

The thyroid is an endocrine (or hormonal) gland, located against the esophagus and which is schematically shaped like a bow tie.
