What is Ceva Actis Omega for Dogs 150 ml used for?
Essential fatty acids, also known as omega-3 and omega-6, are important for your pet’s health. These sources of polyunsaturated fat strengthen the immune system by producing substances that stimulate the body’s defense cells, making it more resistant to infections. They play a vital role in growth, reproduction, and combating brain aging. These fatty acids also optimize the functioning of your pet’s cardiovascular system.
Actis Omega for Dogs is a palatable nutritional supplement for dogs, specially formulated to support skin health in cases of dermatitis and hair loss. It is based on omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, as well as vitamins A and E.
EPA, DHA, and GLA reduce the skin’s inflammatory response by inhibiting Type I hypersensitivity mediators and promoting the production of anti-inflammatory mediators. The omega-3/omega-6 ratio specific to dogs steers the eicosanoid cascade toward the anti-inflammatory pathway and optimizes the fight against skin inflammation.
Omega-6 essential fatty acids help restore balance to the dermis following a skin condition and improve the condition of the skin and coat.
Vitamin A is essential for the proper functioning of epithelial tissues and helps regulate keratinization and sebum secretion.
Vitamin E and Loxidan® E50 protect essential fatty acids from oxidation and prevent the formation of free radicals in vivo.
We also offer Anxitane M and L, supplements for dogs with anxiety, at the best price in our online pharmacy.
How should these essential fatty acids be used?

Our advice and expert opinions from pharmacists
Essential fatty acids for animals are recommended for:
- Managing inflammatory conditions
- Dry, dull coat—omega-6 helps make the skin more impervious
- Omega-3 has excellent anti-inflammatory and anti-itching properties, which are helpful for skin conditions
- Effectiveness in treating chronic intestinal inflammation, which often causes diarrhea and stomach pain in some dogs
- Helping with kidney failure by slowing the progression of nephropathy in dogs and cats and reducing inflammation in the kidneys.
- Prevents strokes (cardiovascular events). High blood pressure and ventricular arrhythmia will be kept under control.
- Normalize triglyceride and cholesterol levels in the blood
- Combat allergies. Very often, allergies stem from a weakened immune system; therefore, omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids strengthen the immune system and alleviate allergic reactions in the body, such as inflammation.
- Help protect against potential cancers
