How do you use this pain-relief pad?

Hot use:

• Heat the pouch in the microwave without its cover at 900 W for 20 seconds. If necessary, you can heat it two more times, for a maximum of 10 seconds each. It is recommended to knead the pouch after the first 20 seconds to ensure the heat is distributed evenly. Place the pouch back in its cover and position it on the painful area.
• Heat water in a container until it begins to boil, then remove the container from the heat source. Submerge the pouch in the hot water without the cover for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove the pouch from the water. Place the pouch back in its cover and apply it to the painful area.

Cold Use:
Place the pouch without its cover in the refrigerator for 2 hours or in the freezer for 20 minutes. Remove it from the refrigerator or freezer, then insert the pouch into its cover and place it on the painful area.
