Tick-Puss 2.5 mg Biocanina 250 ml is based on Fipronil, this solution for flea spray skin is especially suitable for dogs and cats and offers up to three months of protection. Fipronil is an insecticide and an acaricide belonging to the family of phenylpyrazole. It works by inhibiting the GABA complex, by binding to the chloride channel and thereby blocking the pre-synaptic and post-passage of chloride ions through the cell membrane. This results in uncontrolled activity of the central nervous system and death of insects or mites. The insecticidal efficacy against new infestations of adult fleas persists up to 6 weeks in cats and up to 3 months in dogs, depending on the environmental context. The duration of efficacy of the product is 4 weeks acaricidal against ticks, according to the environmental pressure of infestation.
Route of administration: Pistol manual spray for external use only.
To moisten the coat to the skin, apply 3 to 6 ml per kg body weight (7.5 to 15 mg of fipronil per kg body weight), depending on the length of the bristles.
This dosage can be obtained by performing 6 to 12 sprays per kg body weight. Depending on hair length:
- The presentation of the gun 250 ml 1.5 ml vaporizes by sputtering. It can process 2 to 4 times a dog of 20 kg.
Spray on the entire animal's coat at a distance of about 10-20 cm. Apply in the opposite direction of hair growth by ensuring that the entire animal's coat is moistened. Massage the coat, especially in long haired animals so that the product penetrates to the skin. For the treatment of the area around the head, or to treat young or nervous pets, application may be made by first spraying the product on a glove and then rub the glove on the coat. Let dry in the open air. Do not use a towel to dry the animal.
Fipronil 2.5 mg Excipient to 1 ml.
Do not use in sick animals (systemic diseases, fever ...) or convalescent. Do not use in rabbits because sometimes lethal side effects may occur. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
