Transmission of molluscum contagiosum.

The molluscum contagiosum virus is transmitted through direct skin-to-skin contact with another infected person, following an incubation period of 2 weeks to 6 months. Infection typically occurs in daycare centers or schools, at public swimming pools, or during group bathing.
