The gauze pad does not come with a backing; it should be covered with a compress and secured with an elastic bandage or adhesive tape.

Precautions
Do not use in cases of deep second-degree or third-degree burns, or for burns on the face. In these cases, a prior medical consultation is required.

Urgo Superficial Burn and Wound Dressings are intended only for the treatment of localized wounds no larger than the size of a dressing. For extensive burns, the dressing should extend well beyond the wound to allow for the absorption of exudate. If you see no improvement in healing after 6 days, consult your doctor. For any burns in children, ask your pharmacist for advice. If there are clinical signs of local infection (redness spreading to uninjured skin, pain, etc.), consult your pharmacist or doctor.
