Precautions
· Since there are no data on dermal absorption, the risk of systemic effects cannot be ruled out. This risk is particularly high when the antiseptic is used over a large area, under an occlusive dressing, on damaged skin—especially burns— mucous membranes, or on the skin of premature infants or infants (due to the surface-to-weight ratio and the occlusive effect of diapers on the diaper area).
· Once an antiseptic preparation is opened, microbial contamination is possible.
Contraindications:
· Known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients, particularly to chlorhexidine (or its chemical class) or benzalkonium chloride (a quaternary ammonium compound).
· This product must not be used on mucous membranes, particularly genital mucous membranes (risk of balanitis or erosive vaginitis).
· This product must not be used for the disinfection of medical and surgical equipment.
