Remove the cap from the lancing device and insert the lancet until you hear a click indicating it is in place.
Remove the protective cap from the lancet. Replace the cap on the lancing device.
Turn the dial to adjust the puncture depth (lower number = shallower depth).
Pull the cocking lever back until you hear a click.
Place the lancing device against the side of your finger (any finger except the thumb or index finger) and press the trigger button.
Once the blood sample has been collected, remove the cap from the lancet pen and insert the tip of the used lancet into the recessed area of the protective disc. Eject the lancet from the pen by sliding the eject lever forward.

Dispose of the lancet in accordance with applicable local regulations.
