What is Osmo Soft Gel For Sunburns used for?
Osmo Soft Gel is a complete solution for rapidly soothing superficial burns, from minor household burns to sunburn. Its hydrogel has an immediate triple action: it soothes pain, rehydrates overheated skin and reduces redness, while supporting the natural healing process. By cooling skin tissue, the gel limits the spread of lesions and provides an instant sensation of freshness.
Its formula combines local anti-inflammatory agents to reduce skin irritation, an antiseptic to limit the risk of superinfection (thanks to its bactericidal and fungicidal properties) and moisturizing active ingredients to restore the superficial layers of the epidermis. Enriched with glycerol, polyethyleneglycol, glycerylpolyacrylate and carbomer, Osmo Soft helps aggressed skin recover more quickly.
Its light, non-greasy, alcohol-free texture is easily absorbed, making it suitable even for sensitive skin. The presence of octylene glycol adds extra softness and facilitates application, while the absence of fragrance and colorants reduces the risk of irritation.
The soothing and moisturizing efficacy of this medical device is based on clinical studies carried out on adults, notably after UV exposure or after repeated applications in real-life conditions. These studies confirmed its positive impact on moisturizing the superficial layers of the epidermis and reducing cutaneous discomfort.
Osmo Soft can be used both for light burns and to promote harmonious healing, even after a recent tattoo. It's quick and easy to use, making it an ideal addition to any first-aid kit: it's easy to apply to the affected area, soothes heat sensations, reduces irritation and provides long-lasting relief. Versatile, it can also soothe skin irritations caused by other external aggressions.
When you choose Osmo Soft, you choose a gel that's respectful, effective and immediately soothing, for all situations where the skin needs to be refreshed, protected and repaired.

Expert advice
A burn is a cutaneous lesion caused by exposure to intense heat or contact with a burning material. It can eventually lead to the destruction of the skin and underlying tissues. The severity of a burn depends on its depth, extent and location.
The first step: cool the burn with cool water (but not cold or icy!)
First and foremost, it's important to cool the burn with cold water. The earlier you do this, the more effective it is. It reduces local heat and prevents inflammation from spreading.
The golden rule is the "three 15s": rinse the burn at 15°C, 15 centimetres away and for around 15 minutes.
What not to do with burns
- Do not use conventional absorbent cotton (hydrophilic), as it sticks to the wound.
- Do not apply greasy substances or grandmother's remedies to the wound (oil, butter, potato, etc.): they have no therapeutic value and can be a source of infection.
- Avoid alcoholic disinfectants, which are aggravating factors.
- Do not pierce blisters, as they protect the burn from air and bacteria.
- Do not remove clothing that adheres to the burned skin.
