Clearblue Advanced Ultra Early Pregnancy Test is a urine test designed for women who want to know if they are pregnant, even several days before their expected period. It detects human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in urine, a hormone produced early in pregnancy.
With a sensitivity of 10 mIU/mL, this test can be used up to 6 days before a missed period, or 5 days before the expected start of your period. At this early stage, it can detect 77% of “Pregnant” results. However, since hCG levels can vary from woman to woman, a negative result obtained very early on does not completely rule out pregnancy.

Read the instructions carefully before beginning. If you’re taking the test before your expected period, use your first morning urine, as the pregnancy hormone is generally more concentrated in it. Starting on the expected date of your period, the test can be taken at any time of day.
Avoid drinking excessive amounts of anything—including water—before collecting your urine sample. Urine that is too diluted may contain a concentration of hormones that is harder to detect.
When you’re ready, remove the test stick from its protective pouch, take off the blue cap, and use it immediately.
Hold the absorbent end facing down. Place it under the urine stream for 5 seconds or dip it for 20 seconds into a urine sample collected in a clean, dry container. Be careful not to get the plastic casing wet.
Then replace the cap and place the test stick on a flat surface. Never hold the test with the absorbent end pointing upward during the test.
Wait a full5 minutes before reading the result. Two lines indicate a “Pregnant” result, regardless of their intensity. A single line indicates a “Not Pregnant” result. A red line must appear in the control window to confirm that the test worked properly.
Read the result within 10 minutes of taking the test. After this time, the result may no longer be reliable.
