It was in 1611 that the formula for the elixir L'Eau de Mélisse des Carmes was born.
In 1838, Amédée Boyer joined the civil society and became its owner. Since then, the descendants of the Boyer family have perpetuated this craftsmanship and this immutable heritage which is a part of the history of Paris having survived the Revolution, wars and crises without ever failing. This now represents seven generations of family tradition.
In 2016 Jean-Brice Lagourgue took over the management of Eau des Carmes Boyer. The house has been awarded the Entreprises du Patrimoine Vivant label. She continues to transmit this ancestral know-how and has created a cultivable garden near her workshops, where she grows lemon balm, savory, chamomile, lavender, thyme and rosemary . Angelica, artemisia, marjoram, primrose and sage will also be welcomed from 2019.
