When should you choose this makeup remover and moisturizer set?

The Krème Intense Hydration Set combines two facial care products: the Comfort Makeup Remover Gel, a melt-in balm that transforms into a milk upon contact with water, and the Intense Hydration Cream, a cream formulated with hyaluronic acid. The set thus covers the two basic steps of a skincare routine: removing makeup and impurities with a water-rinseable facial cleanser, then moisturizing the skin.

The Comfort Cleansing Gel is formulated with sunflower seed oil, combined with sugar esters that allow it to be rinsed off with water, spirulina extract, lactobacillus ferment, and cornflower extract. When massaged onto dry skin, it melts into makeup and transforms into a milk upon rinsing: it cleanses and removes makeup in a single step while purifying the skin, ridding it of the day’s residue.

The Intense Hydrating Cream combines two forms of hyaluronic acid—one hydrolyzed, the other in the form of sodium salt—with glycerin, grape seed oil, apricot kernel oil, and sunflower seed oil, along with a lactobacillus ferment. Its creamy texture, similar to yogurt, leaves a matte finish. It is suitable for all skin types, and particularly for dehydrated skin: it hydrates and plumps the skin. Dehydrated skin feels tight and looks dull, even when it’s oily—and it’s this lack of moisture that the cream targets.

This set is perfect for when the skin feels tight due to cold weather, wind, or heating, and the complexion looks dull in the middle of winter. The gel’s travel-size format fits easily into a travel bag and lets you try out the texture before committing to the full-size bottle. It also makes for a simple gift idea as the holidays approach, for someone looking to start a two-step skincare routine.

Between makeup removal and moisturizer, very dehydrated skin can benefit from an extra layer. For this, we recommend the Respire Hydrating Serum, to be applied to clean skin before the Intense Hydration Cream: its fluid texture is applied first, and the cream goes on top to finish the routine—two steps that complement each other without overlapping.

How do you use the two products in this set?

Directions for Use

Comfort Makeup Remover Gel: Massage a small amount onto dry skin, then rinse with lukewarm water.

Intense Hydrating Cream: Apply a small amount all over the face.

Precautions

  • For external use only. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
  • Do not apply the Intense Moisturizing Cream to mucous membranes.
  • Do not apply to broken skin, open wounds, or irritated areas.
  • Both formulas are fragranced: if you have a known allergy to a fragrance or any other cosmetic ingredient, check the list of ingredients and consult a pharmacist before first use.
  • Discontinue use if redness, persistent stinging, or a rash occurs, and consult a pharmacist or doctor.
  • Use within 12 months after opening for each of the two products. Keep out of reach of children.

Our expert advice on this set for dehydrated skin

Before looking for a richer cream, first consider your makeup removal routine: water that’s too hot or a harsh cleanser can dry out the skin, and the cream then has to compensate. Also, distinguish between dehydrated skin and dry skin: the former lacks water and may appear shiny, while the latter lacks lipids and feels rough. The cream in this set, with its matte finish, is designed for the former; skin that still feels tight an hour after application requires a more nourishing texture.

The most common mistake with a cleansing gel is applying it to a face that’s already wet: it then slides right off without lifting the makeup. Water is only used when rinsing, and it’s what transforms the gel into a milk. For the cream, it’s better to use a small amount spread evenly—reapplying as needed—than a thick layer that leaves the skin feeling greasy.

FAQ

Does the Comfort Makeup-Removing Gel from Krème’s Intense Hydration Set also remove eye makeup?

Yes. It can also be used around the eyes, keeping your eyes closed during the massage and until you’ve finished rinsing. For very sensitive eyes, a solid makeup remover from the same line is a gentler alternative.

Is the Krème Intense Hydration Set suitable for combination to oily skin?

Yes. The gel is suitable for all skin types, particularly normal to oily skin, and the cream, with its matte finish, is also designed for combination, normal, and oily skin when it is dehydrated.

When during the day should the products in the Krème Intense Hydration Set be used?

The gel is used first in the evening to remove makeup and can also be used in the morning, especially on combination to oily skin. The cream is applied morning and evening to the face and neck after cleansing.
