When should you use this anti-redness skincare kit?

The Erborian Centella Anti-Redness Essentials Kit combines four travel-size products featuring centella asiatica, a key ingredient in Korean skincare formulas for sensitive skin. A makeup remover oil, cleansing gel, cream, and tinted moisturizer make up a complete routine from evening to morning and are part of our anti-redness facial skincare line for skin that flushes easily.

Makeup removal is a two-step process. The oil, formulated with sunflower, sweet almond, and soybean oils, dissolves makeup from the face and eyes, then the gentle cleansing gel takes over with a light cleansing base, enriched with extracts of centella, chamomile, licorice, and green tea. The skin is left clean without being stripped, which is especially important for skin that reacts to even the slightest friction.

Centella Cream is a soothing moisturizer that combines 2% centella asiatica with hyaluronic acid. Its lightweight texture can be used morning and night as a daily soothing treatment to keep skin comfortable throughout the day.

CC Red Correct is a tinted corrector enriched with Centella asiatica and panthenol. Its green pigments visually neutralize redness—its complementary color—and even out the complexion in a single layer, with SPF 30 protection. The four sizes fit into the padded travel pouch, which is convenient for travel or for trying out the routine before switching to the full-size products.

On days when you’re exposed to the sun, you’ll need more intensive protection. For this, we recommend the fragrance-free Anthelios UVMune 400 SPF 50+ Invisible Fluid. Applied generously before the CC Red Correct, this untinted fluid provides high protection without altering the complexion correction, while the CC continues to even out redness.

How do you use this four-step skincare routine?

Instructions for Use

In the evening, apply the makeup-removing oil to dry skin, massaging it into the face and eyes; emulsify with a little water, then rinse. Next, lather the cleansing gel on damp skin before rinsing again. In the morning and evening, apply the cream to clean skin; in the morning, finish by applying CC Red Correct to red areas or all over the face.

Precautions

  • For external use on the face only. Only the makeup remover oil should be applied to the eyes: remove your contact lenses before removing your makeup. Apply the gel, cream, and CC Red Correct while avoiding contact with the eyes; in case of contact, rinse thoroughly with clean water.
  • Do not use if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients. All four products are fragranced.
  • The makeup remover oil contains sweet almond oil and soybean oil. If you have an allergy to nuts or soy, consult your pharmacist before use.
  • The cleansing gel contains chamomile extract, a plant from the Asteraceae family. If you have a known allergy to this family (chamomile, arnica, mugwort), consult your pharmacist before use.
  • CC Red Correct contains acetyl cedrene, alpha-isomethyl ionone, citronellol, geraniol, hexyl cinnamal, linalool, and linalyl acetate, which are fragrance allergens subject to mandatory declaration. If you have a history of fragrance allergies, consult your pharmacist.
  • If you have very sensitive skin, test each product on a small area—such as under the jaw—before applying it to your entire face for the first time.
  • Do not apply to broken, irritated, or sunburned skin.
  • CC Red Correct (SPF 30) is not a substitute for sunscreen during prolonged sun exposure. Applying less than the recommended amount significantly reduces the level of protection, and protection must be reapplied throughout the day. No sunscreen offers complete protection against UV rays.
  • Persistent redness accompanied by hot flashes, small bumps, a burning sensation, or irritated eyes requires medical attention: these symptoms may indicate couperose or rosacea, which require a diagnosis.
  • If you experience increased redness, stinging, or itching after application, discontinue use and rinse with clean water. If the discomfort persists, consult a doctor.
  • Store away from heat and light. Once opened, use the makeup remover oil and cleansing gel within 3 months, and the cream and CC Red Correct within 6 months. Keep out of reach of children.

Our expert tips on this Erborian anti-redness kit

Receiving four fragranced skincare products all at once might tempt you to use them all on the very first night. For skin that flushes easily, it’s best to introduce them one at a time: start with the makeup remover and the cream for a few days, then move on to the CC Red Correct. If your skin reacts, you’ll know which product is causing the issue, rather than having to abandon the entire routine. The CC product’s size is meant to help you assess the shade and finish on your skin, not to last an entire season.

Some of the daily redness stems from your skincare routine. Rinse with lukewarm water rather than hot, pat dry with a clean towel without rubbing, and avoid exfoliants with grains on areas that tend to flush. These habits matter just as much as your choice of products—and they’re less expensive.

FAQ

Does the CC Red Correct from the Erborian Anti-Redness Essentials Kit stay green on my skin?

No. The CC Red Correct comes out of the tube green, but its encapsulated pigments are released when you apply it, and it takes on a beige tint on the skin. It comes in a single shade, designed for fair skin tones.

Can I apply my foundation over the CC Red Correct from the Erborian Anti-Redness Essentials kit?

Yes. CC Red Correct can be used alone for a natural finish, or as a primer under foundation when you want more coverage. It’s best to let it set for a few moments before applying foundation, and to apply it only to red areas if your foundation already provides good coverage.

Why should I use the oil before the gel in the Erborian Anti-Redness Essentials kit?

The oil dissolves oil-based substances: makeup, sunscreen, and sebum. The gel then removes oil residue and impurities that wash away with water. The two steps complement each other, and doing them in the reverse order would leave the makeup in place under a cleanser that isn’t designed for it.
