When should you use this arnica roll-on to soothe the skin?
Pediakid P'tit Cass'cou Arnica Roll-on is a skin care product for children that combines three natural extracts: arnica flower (Arnica montana), harpagophytum root, and ginkgo biloba leaf. Arnica is a plant found in European mountain meadows, recognizable by its orange-yellow flower heads. The solution is applied using a metal rollerball and leaves a non-sticky finish on the skin, allowing you to dress your child right away.
The primary purpose of this product is to promote skin comfort. Apply by gently rolling the ball over the skin in small strokes—without rubbing or massaging—a gentle motion suitable for a child’s skin that a toddler is more likely to accept than a massage with fingertips. The roll-on soothes the skin in the area where it is applied. Its formula is fragrance-free.
The second benefit comes from the contact with the rollerball itself. The metal stays cooler than the skin: combined with the solution, the rollerball provides an immediate cooling sensation that the child feels from the very first application. It’s often this cooling sensation that makes a restless little one more willing to accept the treatment.
This product is ideal after a day of activity, a trip to the park, or a lively play session, providing a soothing sensation to the areas that have been put to the test. Its pocket-sized design fits easily into a diaper bag or backpack and can be used at any time of day. It has been tested under pediatric supervision and joins our other products designed for toddlers’ skin.
We recommend keeping the 10 x 10 cm Reusable Hot/Cold Thermogel Pad handy. Place it in the freezer beforehand, then wrap it in a cloth—this small pad prolongs the cooling sensation, and its size fits comfortably in a child’s hand. The two steps complement each other without overlapping: the pad does not deliver any active ingredients to the skin.

Precautions
- For external use only. Do not ingest.
- Avoid contact with the eyes, mucous membranes, and open wounds. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Apply only to intact skin: do not apply to scrapes, irritated skin, chapped skin, or skin affected by eczema. The alcohol and propylene glycol in the formula may cause a tingling sensation on sensitive skin.
- Do not use if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients, particularly plants in the Asteraceae family (arnica, chamomile, mugwort, ragweed, dandelion), which is a contraindication for the topical use of arnica. Discontinue use if redness, itching, or eczema occurs.
- The topical use of arnica has not been established in children under 12 years of age due to insufficient data. Since this product is also intended for very young children, consult a pharmacist or doctor before using it on an infant or young child, especially on atopic skin.
- Do not use on the diaper area of children 3 years of age or younger: the formula contains phenoxyethanol, a preservative that prohibits the application of a leave-on product under a diaper.
- Apply only to a limited area, without a bandage or tight clothing over it.
- Application must be performed by an adult. Do not leave the roll-on within a child’s reach, as they may put it in their mouth. In case of accidental ingestion, call a poison control center and keep the packaging handy.
- This product is intended to soothe the skin and is not a substitute for a medical examination. After a fall or impact, seek immediate medical attention if there is a head injury followed by vomiting, unusual drowsiness, inconsolable crying, or a change in behavior, as well as in cases of significant swelling, deformity, severe pain, limping, or an inability to move or put weight on the limb. If discomfort persists for more than 3 to 4 days, seek medical advice.
- Close tightly after use, store away from heat, keep out of reach of children, and use within 12 months of opening.

Our expert advice on Pediakid P'tit Cass'cou Arnica Roll-on
Before using the roll-on, observe the child rather than the affected area. A child who is back to playing after a few minutes just needs a hug and some comforting care; a child who behaves differently falls under the list of warning signs—that’s what you should keep in mind first. This product supports the skin; it doesn’t indicate what’s happening beneath the surface.
When applying it, gentleness matters more than quantity: three or four light swipes are enough; the rollerball does the rest. For very young children, we prefer to start with a small area and observe the skin over the next hour, as arnica is a plant that can cause sensitivity in some skin types. The roll-on also serves as a ritual: a child who knows there’s “the cool roll-on” is more willing to let you treat them.
FAQ
Is the Pediakid P’tit Cass’cou roll-on a homeopathic product?
No. This product contains plant extracts, including an arnica flower extract, not a homeopathic dilutionof Arnica montana like the granules or certain pharmacy gels. It is classified as a cosmetic product and does not have the status of a medication.
Why does Pediakid P'tit Cass'cou Arnica Roll-On contain alcohol?
Denatured alcohol, the third ingredient on the list, contributes to the cooling sensation: it evaporates quickly after application and helps the solution dry faster, which also explains its non-sticky texture. Parents looking for a formula without ethyl alcohol should therefore choose a different product.
Can I apply Pediakid P'tit Cass'cou Arnica Roll-on to my child’s face?
The roll-on can be applied to the forehead and cheeks, but should be kept away from the eye area. It’s safest to let the solution dry for a few moments before the child touches their face, as toddlers often rub their eyes right after applying the product.
