What is Effaclar Supramolecular Sebum and Pore-Cleansing Gel used for?

La Roche-Posay’sEffaclar Supramolecular Cleansing Gel is designed for the daily cleansing of oily, blemish-prone skin. Its gel texture transforms into a lather to remove impurities, pollution particles, and excess sebum, while targeting shine and the appearance of clogged pores.

What are its main active ingredients or features?

The formula combinessalicylic acid and niacinamide with the line’s Supramolecular technology, as well as zinc PCA. Salicylic acid is used for its cosmetic exfoliating action, and niacinamide for its soothing properties and support of the skin barrier. For daily use, massage gently without scrubbing aggressively: cleansing too vigorously can increase discomfort without improving the effectiveness of the treatment.

How to use Effaclar Supramolecular Cleansing Gel?

Use in the morning and/or evening on damp skin. Work into a lather using circular motions on the face, then rinse thoroughly. Pat the skin dry without rubbing. If you follow up with the Effaclar Supramolecular Corrector, apply it to dry skin.

What are the precautions for use?

  • For external use only.
  • Avoid the immediate eye area.
  • In case of contact with the eyes, rinse immediately and thoroughly.
  • If significant or persistent irritation occurs, reduce the frequency of use or discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional if necessary.
