When should you use this toner to hydrate your skin?

The Medicube Triple Collagen 4.0 Facial Toner is suitable for dehydrated, dull, or lackluster skin. Its lightweight texture—somewhere between a lotion and an essence—is applied after cleansing. It absorbs quickly without leaving a heavy residue. All skin types can incorporate it into their routine, including sensitive skin, depending on individual tolerance.

The formula combines hydrolyzed collagen, soluble collagen, atelo-collagen, and a collagen extract. When applied to the skin, these different forms of collagen primarily provide hydration and form a protective film. They create a supple veil on the surface of the epidermis—similar to a very thin protective layer—to promote visibly smoother and plumper skin.

Several forms of hyaluronic acid complement this action. These molecules act like tiny sponges: they attract and retain water in the skin’s outer layers. In this way, they help maintain hydration and temporarily reduce the appearance of fine lines caused by dehydration.

Niacinamide helps restore radiance and visibly even out the complexion. It also helps maintain the skin’s barrier function. Adenosine rounds out the formula to help smooth the appearance of fine lines. Day after day, the skin appears more supple, more radiant, and better hydrated.

Use this toner morning and night before applying a serum and moisturizer suited to your skin’s needs. In the morning, finish your routine with a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30. In the evening, you can pair it with the Medicube Collagen Night Wrapping Mask: the toner prepares and hydrates the skin, while the mask helps lock in that moisture overnight.

How do you use this facial toner?

Directions for Use

  1. Cleanse your face with a gentle cleanser, then gently pat it dry.
  2. Pour a few drops of toner into the palms of your hands or onto a cotton pad.
  3. Apply the product to your face and neck, avoiding the eye and mouth areas.
  4. Gently pat with your fingertips, then use light circular motions until fully absorbed.
  5. Follow with your serum, then apply a moisturizing or nourishing cream.

A small amount of the product can also be mixed with a makeup primer or foundation to achieve a more radiant finish.

Our expert tips for plumper-looking skin

To enhance the moisturizing effect, apply this toner to skin that is still very slightly damp after cleansing. You can layer two thin coats on dehydrated areas rather than applying a large amount all at once. Wait a few moments between each layer, then seal in the moisture with your moisturizer. If your skin is sensitive, start with one application per day and gradually increase as your skin tolerates it.

Frequently Asked Questions About This Medicube Toner

Is this toner suitable for sensitive skin?

It’s marketed as suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. However, its formula contains fragrance. We therefore recommend testing it on a small area before your first application.

Can this toner be used morning and night?

Yes, it can be applied morning and night after cleansing. Follow with a serum and a moisturizer. In the morning, apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.

Does the collagen in the toner penetrate deeply into the skin?

Topically applied collagen acts primarily on the surface of the epidermis. Its film-forming action helps lock in moisture and temporarily improve the skin’s smooth, plump appearance. It does not replace the collagen naturally present in the dermis.
