What are the indications for Nutrivisc 5% Eye Drops 10ml?

This eye drops is a solution indicated in the symptomatic treatment of dry eyes .

It contains an active substance, povidone, dosed at 5 per 100 ml of eye solution. Povidone can replace tears, and plays the same role as these in order to relieve dry eyes .

How to properly use this eye solution against dry eyes?

The recommended dosage is 1 drop of solution in ocular instillation.
Apply the indicated dose when the disorders caused by dry eyes (burning or itching) are felt. The instillations to be spread during the day are 4 in number, or more if the recurrence and the severity of the symptoms require it.

What is the composition of this Nutrivisc eye drops?

It contains an active substance, Povidone dosed at 5 g per 100 ml of eye drops.

The other components are:

Boric acid, sodium chloride, sodium lactate, potassium chloride, calcium chloride, magnesium chloride, sodium hydroxide, benzalkonium chloride (see section 2), water for injections.

What are the precautions for use ?

• Do not ingest or inject this medication.
• Wash hands well before application.
• Do not touch the eyelids with the nozzle and do not touch the eye with the end of the bottle, this risks contaminating the eye drops and injuring the eye.
• Close the bottle carefully after use.
• If symptoms persist or worsen, consult your doctor.
• If you need to use another eye drop, wait 15 minutes between the two uses. Nutrivisc, eye drops in solution should always be applied last.

Blurred vision can impair the ability to drive and use machines. In this case, wait until normal vision returns before driving or using machines.
