What is the purpose of Modilac Expert Préma Dès la Naissance?

Modilac Expert Préma milk has been specially designed to meet the very specific nutritional needs of premature or low-birth-weight infants (from 1.8 kg). These fragile babies require a higher energy and protein intake than full-term infants. That's why this infant milk, developed in collaboration with pediatricians and nutritionists, provides all the nutrients essential for harmonious growth and optimal development from the very first days of life. It can be used to complement breastfeeding, or temporarily replace it when breastfeeding is not possible, providing a safe, balanced continuity of nutrition.

Manufactured in a committed French dairy cooperative, Modilac Expert Préma milk is made from 100% Normandy milk, collected locally to guarantee freshness and traceability. Its highly nutritious formula contains high-quality proteins, essential vitamins and carefully dosed minerals to support bone growth, organ maturation and immune system development. Thanks to its adapted composition, it helps meet the high energy needs of premature babies, while respecting their fragile digestive system.

Modilac Expert Préma's formula is distinguished by its high protein-energy density, which supports muscle development and cell division. The lipids it contains, notably omega-3 fatty acids (DHA ) and arachidonic acid (ARA), play a fundamental role in brain maturation and retinal formation. These essential fatty acids are known to promote cognitive performance, vision and neuromotor coordination, key aspects in the development of babies born prematurely.

This infant milk for premature babies also contains easily-assimilable carbohydrates, such as lactose and maltodextrins, which provide rapid energy while preserving digestive balance. Soluble proteins and casein ensure optimal digestibility, adapted to the immature physiology of premature infants. In addition, the presence of nucleotides, taurine and L-carnitine promotes tissue maturation, immune development and energy metabolism, strengthening the baby's natural resistance.

Rich in vitamins A, C, D, E and K, as well as essential trace elements (iron, zinc, copper, iodine, selenium, magnesium), Modilac Expert Préma milk helps strengthen natural defenses and stimulate bone and muscle growth. These nutrients play a key role in preventing deficiencies and supporting neurosensory development. Its balanced, complete formula makes it a safe medical food, ideally suited to the specific needs of babies born prematurely.

Finally, Modilac Expert Préma milk comes in powder form for reconstitution in water for bottle-feeding. It is packaged in a protective atmosphere in an airtight metal can, to preserve all the nutritional quality of the formula. This practical, hygienic packaging ensures optimum preservation and precise dosage, guaranteeing safe, consistent nutrition for every meal.

In short, Modilac Expert Préma is a complete nutritional support for premature infants, contributing to their gradual weight gain, cerebral development, bone growth and immune reinforcement. It's a milk designed to accompany the first days of life with gentleness and security, when every gram of growth counts.

We also offer Gallia Bébé Expert Pré-Gallia Dès la Naissance 400 g, at the best price in our online pharmacy.

How do I use this milk for premature babies?

Before preparing your baby's milk, make sure you follow the strictest hygiene rules. Carefully clean the bottle, teat and cap. Pour the required amount of water into the bottle, preferably with a low mineral content and warmed to around 40°C. Using the measuring scoop supplied in the box, fill it with powder, then smooth it over the rim provided.
Then add one level scoop of powder to 30 ml of water. Close the bottle, roll it between your hands, then shake vigorously to ensure even dissolution. Before giving your baby the bottle, check the temperature of the milk by pouring a few drops onto your wrist. Depending on the consistency, it may be necessary to use a teat adapted to thickened milk for premature babies.

Expert advice

Premature babies have very specific needs. In naturopathy, we recommend supporting their growth with a calm, secure environment, favoring deep, restorative sleep. To support digestive development, you can ask your pharmacist for advice on the use of probiotics adapted to infants, to help mature the intestinal microbiota.

Keeping your baby hydrated remains essential: be sure to space out meals according to his or her appetite, without forcing them. For mothers, a postnatal dietetic follow-up often helps to better accompany the dietary transition. Finally, close proximity and skin-to-skin contact encourage the secretion of oxytocin, beneficial both for the parent-child bond and for regulating the infant's metabolism.
