The contour plusblood glucose self-monitoring system (blood glucose meter, test strips and control solution) is designed for self-monitoring of blood glucose levels in diabetic patients, and for monitoring of blood glucose levels by healthcare professionals, on venous or capillary whole blood (taken from the fingertip or palm), arterial blood or newborn blood.
Provides quantitative measurement of glucose in whole blood, for values from 10 mg/dL to 600 mg/dL.
It has been designed for in vitro diagnostic use only.
The CONTOUR PLUS blood glucose monitoring system can be used to monitor the effectiveness of an individual's blood glucose control program.

The CONTOUR®PLUS blood glucose meter features No Coding technology, which automatically codes each time a test strip is inserted.
It also automatically marks a control solution test.

The CONTOUR PLUS Set is easy to use, even for those new to blood glucose self-monitoring. The meter features an intuitive interface and easy-to-use buttons, so you can test your blood glucose with ease, whenever and wherever you need to.
Introducing the test strip:
1- Take a ContourPlus test strip from the vial. Close the bottle tightly immediately after removing the test strip.
2- Hold the test strip with the grey end facing upwards, towards the reader.
3- Gently insert the grey end of the test strip into the insertion port until the meter beeps.
This will activate the meter. The image of a test strip with a glistening drop of blood appears, indicating that the meter is ready for testing.
Getting the drop of blood - Fingertip test
1-Press the lancing device firmly against the puncture site and press the control button.
2- Massage your hand and finger in the direction of the sampling site to obtain a drop of blood. Do not press around the sampling site.
3-Take the sample immediately after a sufficiently large drop of blood has formed.
