Making a good dressing on a horse's limb is not as simple as it seems. Anyone who has ever applied a resting strip knows that all it takes is a movement of the horse for the strip to be unrolled on the ground.
Cohesive bandages have the enormous advantage of being self-gripping, ie they hold on themselves without being sticky. The bandage does not unroll even if you let go of the bandage halfway.
The tape does not stick to the horse's skin, nor the straw and other shavings, and it holds very well.
It is more extensible, which allows a good compression without tightening too much. Finally, it is easily cut by hand, which makes it an ultra practical bandaging tool to use.
These bandages are breathable and water repellent, without being waterproof.
FLEX'ON offers all the advantages of a support and compression bandage:
- Cohesive: it adheres to itself, without sticking to the skin or hair.
- Resistant: it allows the realization of solid dressings that the animal cannot remove
- Elastic: it adapts perfectly to the morphology of the bandaged area and the tension applied is regular and uniform. She does not relax.
- Hydrophobic, airy and hypoallergenic
- Easy to install, tears manually and easily.

Using advice and opinion on COHESIVE BAND FLEX'ON
Apply the FLEX'ON cohesive bandage with approximately 50% stretch: do not apply it with too much tension to avoid the risk of compression and impairing blood circulation.
To attach the bandage, apply the last 15 cm without stretching them and press firmly to ensure good cohesion.
The FLEX'ON band must be removed and changed every day. The FLEX'ON band must be removed and changed every day. Do not apply to an open wound.
Always apply a layer of fleece underneath, whether or not there is a wound.
Maintain the cotton with a crepe bandage to homogenize the horse's dressing.
Lay the cohesive bandage from top to bottom, starting on the cotton with a full turn at the top and then gradually descending, covering half the width of the previous round (like a rest band). Maintain regular tension.

Important :
Always place the strip on the cotton, letting it protrude at the top and bottom so as to avoid any rubbing of the strip on the skin, which can be irritating.
Change the bandage regularly as needed. In case of pain, swelling above or below the dressing, do not hesitate to remove it.
For an injured horse, always ask your veterinarian for advice, at least over the phone.
