What is Cinq-sur-Cinq Family Tiger Mosquito Repellent Lotion used for?

To protect yourself from tiger mosquitoes, the first step is to be vigilant about potential “larval breeding sites.” Larvae can be found in any standing water where mosquitoes can lay their eggs: swamps, tree hollows, old tires… The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends skin repellents, primarily those containing DEET,IR3535, or Icaridin.

Cinq-sur-Cinq Family Mosquito Repellent Lotion contains IR3535, which effectively repels tiger mosquitoes, wasps, ticks, and horseflies to prevent bites. It is one of the preventive measures against the vectors of malaria, dengue, and chikungunya.
This tiger mosquito repellent lotion is effective for about 8 hours.

We also offerCinq-Sur-Cinq Mosquito and Tick Repellent Spray for Clothing and Fabrics (100 ml) at the best price in our online pharmacy.

How do you use this repellent?

Ages 6 to 42 months: 1 application per day.
From 42 months to 12 years: 2 applications per day.
Ages 12 and older: 3 applications per day.
Suitable for pregnant women and children 6 months and older.
Spray the exposed areas of your body, avoiding the eyes and mucous membranes.
This spray provides 600 sprays of 0.165 ml each, for approximately 80 uses.

If your child has been bitten by a mosquito despite all your precautions, we recommend usingCinq-sur-Cinq soothing mosquito bite patches for children.

Whether during the day or at night, to protect againstbites from tiger mosquitoesor other biting insects (ticks, wasps), the use ofskin repellentsis strongly recommended. As a supplement, and especially in high-risk areas, clothing can also be treated by spraying or soaking it in permethrin.
For children who are not yet walking, the use ofmosquito nets—preferably treated ones—on cribs and strollers remains the most effective method for preventing bites from these small flying insects known as mosquitoes.

Learn more about the different biting insects in the mosquito family

The Culex Mosquito

Culex mosquitoes are the most common mosquitoes in metropolitan France. There are many species, including Culex pipiens, or the common mosquito, which we are all familiar with.

Most Culex subspecies prefer to bite birds rather than humans or other mammals. They are therefore often considered less dangerous than Anopheles or Aedes mosquitoes. However, they can spread serious diseases such as West Nile fever or Japanese encephalitis.

The Tiger Mosquito (Aedes albopictus)

There are approximately 260 species of mosquitoes in the genus Aedes worldwide. The Aedes mosquito takes its name from ancient Greek, meaning “unpleasant,” a name justified by the significant nuisance caused by this highly aggressive genus of mosquitoes, whose bites are painful.

The Anopheles Mosquito

Of the 3,500 existing species of mosquitoes, there are approximately 430 species in the genus Anopheles. The Anopheles mosquito is greatly feared because it is capable of transmitting malaria.

The sand fly

Sandflies are very small insects that resemble tiny gnats. They are capable of transmitting serious diseases.
