When should you choose this radiance-boosting cream for normal to dry skin?
Lierac Glow Fresh La Crème Repulpante Éclat is a facial moisturizer designed for normal to dry skin, available alongside our creams for dry skin. It combines high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid, squalane, and an antioxidant tulip flower extract—the subject of a patent filed by the laboratory—all three of which the brand claims are 100% naturally derived. The entire formula contains 96% naturally derived ingredients.
Dry skin feels tight, looks dull, and is more prone to fine lines when it lacks moisture. This cream addresses that need: it rehydrates, plumps, and brightens the skin, making it look more radiant day after day. High-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid hydrates and smooths out dehydration lines—the fine lines that fade as the skin regains its moisture. These fine lines differ from expression lines: they are much more closely tied to the skin’s hydration levels than to age.
The second benefit relates to comfort. Squalane, a lipid naturally present in the skin’s hydrolipidic film, and shea butter help protect the skin, particularly in areas where dry skin lacks lipids. Light emollients, such as C15-19 Alkane and Isostearyl Isostearate, contribute to its texture, and tocopherol—a form of vitamin E—protects the formula from oxidation. The melt-in, creamy, and comfortable texture absorbs without leaving a greasy or sticky finish, leaving the skin feeling soft and light. Its fragrance combines a bamboo water accord, the zesty freshness of bergamot, and luminous floral notes.
It truly comes into its own in the fall and winter, when cold, wind, and heating dry out the face, but also in air-conditioned interiors or after sun exposure, when the skin feels rough and lacks radiance. Its texture is light enough to apply under makeup in the morning and comfortable enough to use on its own in the evening for normal to dry skin. It’s also suitable for normal skin that becomes drier with age or seasonally and needs a more nourishing treatment without having to switch to a balm. For combination skin, the same line offers a lighter gel-cream.
Dry skin often starts to feel tight during cleansing, even before applying the cream. We recommend using the Weleda Skin Food Face Cleansing Gel-to-Oil first: upon contact with the skin, this gel transforms into an oil, then into a milky emulsion when mixed with water, which cleanses the skin without stripping it. Apply it to a wet face and rinse with clean water; the cream then provides the hydration and comfort that cleansing alone does not.

Our expert tips on Glow Fresh cream
The timing of application is just as important as the cream itself. When applied within minutes of cleansing, on skin that’s still slightly damp, it locks in moisture more effectively than a cream applied to skin that’s already dry and tight. A small amount is enough for the face and neck; it’s better to apply a little more to areas that feel tight than to use too much at once. In the evening, a few seconds of massage—working from the center of the face outward—helps distribute the cream without pulling on the skin.
If your skin still feels tight an hour after application, the cream isn’t necessarily to blame: water that’s too hot, a foaming cleanser that’s too harsh, or a long shower are often enough to explain it. And when dryness is accompanied by redness or flaking, the warning to consult a doctor takes precedence over choosing a skincare product. In winter, keeping the room less heated at night also helps the skin retain moisture.
FAQ
Can I use Lierac Glow Fresh La Crème Repulpante Éclat if my skin is dehydrated but not dry?
Dry skin is chronically lacking in lipids; dehydrated skin is temporarily lacking in water and may also be combination or oily. This cream, rich in oils, is primarily suited for normal to dry skin; dehydrated but combination skin will be better suited to the Radiance Fresh Gel-Cream from the same line.
Should I apply a serum under Lierac Glow Fresh La Crème Repulpante Éclat?
It’s not essential: the cream works very well on its own. In the Glow Fresh line, the Radiance Booster Serum is designed to be applied before the cream when an additional step focused on radiance and the appearance of dark spots is desired.
Does Lierac Glow Fresh La Crème Repulpante Éclat replace sunscreen?
No. Its formula contains no UV filters. In the morning, apply a suitable sunscreen over it before any makeup, especially in the spring and summer or during prolonged sun exposure.
Can I apply Lierac Glow Fresh La Crème Repulpante Éclat just once a day?
For normal skin in the summer, applying it once in the evening may be sufficient. Dry skin, however, benefits from two daily applications: wind, cold, or air conditioning throughout the day can strip away some of the moisture provided in the morning.
