État Pur Instant Radiance Booster is a gel-textured complexion-enhancing treatment. Its formula combines four pearlescent pigments, iridescent pearls made from synthetic mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxides, and tin oxide, with a base of glycerin and shea butter enriched with carnosine, ATP, and laminaria seaweed extract. It is part of our range of radiance-boosting treatments for dull complexions, with one unique feature: its effect is optical.
The pearlescent particles reflect light on the skin’s surface: the product brightens the complexion and creates a healthy glow. In a study conducted by the brand on 35 volunteers aged 19 to 59, across all skin types, over a 21-day period, 89% reported that the healthy glow was still visible eight hours after application.
The iridescent pearls are formulated to provide a natural finish, without a glittery or mask-like effect. The product is suitable for all skin tones, from very fair to dark skin. It is fragrance-free. The study panel consisted exclusively of people who reported having sensitive skin.
It’s the perfect product for mornings when your complexion looks dull: late winter, a short night’s sleep, returning from a trip, or a day filled with meetings or photo shoots. It adds radiance without the coverage of foundation. It’s easy to apply in varying amounts depending on the desired effect, from a subtle veil over the entire face to a touch of light on the tops of the cheekbones.
This highlighter works to enhance light; moisturizer, however, should be applied first. For this, we recommend État Pur La Crème Légère, a fragrance-free moisturizer with a lightweight texture. Applied first, it leaves a supple, even surface on which the pearlescent particles distribute evenly without clinging to dry areas, resulting in a more uniform glow.
Directions for Use
Apply in the morning, after your moisturizer, to the entire face and neck, or just to the cheeks and shadowed areas. Use alone or as a makeup primer.

Keep in mind that the radiance provided by this product is a light-reflecting effect: it disappears when you remove your makeup and does not address the underlying cause of a dull complexion. If your complexion remains dull despite using this product, first consider your sleep, smoking, skin dryness, and sun protection. The most common mistake is using too much product: applying too much to the T-zone creates a shiny rather than luminous appearance. A few dabs on the areas you want to brighten are better than a thick layer.
At the counter, the question of application order often comes up with sunscreen: it goes on before the booster; makeup comes last. In the evening, thorough makeup removal is essential, even if you didn’t wear foundation: the pigments applied in the morning won’t come off with a simple rinse.
Does the État Pur Instant Radiance Booster replace my foundation?
No. The État Pur Instant Radiance Booster does not provide coverage: it does not conceal redness or blemishes; it simply adds radiance. It can be worn alone on days when you don’t want to use foundation, or underneath foundation to make your complexion appear more radiant through the coverage.
Can the État Pur Instant Radiance Booster clog my pores?
The formula is labeled as non-comedogenic and non-occlusive: it doesn’t form a sealed film on the skin. For oily skin, it’s more comfortable to apply the État Pur Instant Radiance Booster only to the tops of the cheekbones and temples, without applying it heavily to the nose and chin.
Can the État Pur Instant Radiance Booster dry out my skin?
That is not the intended effect of the formula, which is designed not to dry out the skin: the glycerin in the formula is a humectant similar to the skin’s natural moisturizing factors. However, the État Pur Instant Radiance Booster does not claim to have a moisturizing effect in its own right.
