When should you use this anti-aging micellar water?
BcomBIO’s Pro-Age Micellar Water is a makeup remover for the face, eyes, and lips, designed for sensitive skin. Its micelles, made from gentle plant-based surfactants, capture makeup and impurities; the formula also contains hyaluronic acid and hibiscus cell extract, which sets it apart from traditional micellar waters.
Its primary function is to remove makeup: it cleanses and removes even waterproof makeup, including mascara, without the need for a two-phase oil-based makeup remover. A single product thus covers the face, eyes, and lips, simplifying the routine and minimizing the number of times the skin is wiped.
Its name, “Pro-Âge,” comes from the two active ingredients it leaves on the skin. Ultra-fragmented hyaluronic acid helps plump the skin for a visibly more supple appearance, while hibiscus cells help reduce the appearance of wrinkles. After 28 days of use, the 20 volunteers in a satisfaction test reported smoother skin, a refined texture, and a more radiant complexion.
Its skin tolerance has been tested under dermatological and ophthalmological supervision, which is important for a product applied to the eyelids. It is particularly suitable for mature or sensitive skin that does not tolerate daily use of a foaming cleanser well, whether at the end of a busy day or while traveling.
The eye and lip areas, with their thinner skin, are the most affected by makeup removal. For this reason, we recommend Weleda’s Redensifying Eye and Lip Care: applied after removing makeup, it provides these areas with specialized care that micellar water—which is designed to cleanse—cannot replace.

Our Expert Advice on BcomBIO Pro-Age Micellar Water
At the counter, we’re often asked: Does a “pro-age” micellar water replace an anti-aging treatment? No. It gently removes makeup and leaves plumping active ingredients on the skin, but in limited quantities and for a short duration: the serum or cream applied afterward remains the core of your routine. Its real benefit is providing mature and sensitive skin with a makeup removal experience that doesn’t leave the skin feeling tight, so as not to compromise—before treatment even begins—what the skincare products aim to preserve.
FAQ
Should I use BcomBIO Pro-Age Micellar Water before or after my cleansing gel?
Before. The micellar water removes makeup first; a rinse-off cleansing gel or foam can then complete your evening cleansing routine after a day of wearing full-coverage makeup or sunscreen. In the morning, micellar water alone is usually sufficient.
Is BcomBIO Pro-Age Micellar Water suitable for oily or blemish-prone skin?
It removes makeup from this skin type with ease, but its surfactants remain on the skin since it is not rinsed off. For oily or blemish-prone skin, it is not ideal as the sole long-term cleanser: a suitable cleanser, rinsed off with water, remains the foundation of your routine.
How can I remove my mascara with BcomBIO Pro-Age Micellar Water without rubbing?
The gentlest method is to place a well-soaked cotton pad on your closed eyelid and let it sit for about ten seconds, giving the micelles time to dissolve the mascara. Then simply slide the cotton pad downward in a single stroke—without going back and forth—and repeat with a clean cotton pad if necessary.
