The Ictyane brand was developed by the French laboratory Ducray

Albert Ducray, the son of a dermatologist and a young hairdresser in old Paris, founded the brand between 1929 and 1931. In 1969, he met Pierre Fabre; the two shared common perspectives. The Pierre Fabre Laboratories, already deeply involved in cutting-edge hair research, acquired Ducray. This partnership gave the brand a major boost. In the 1980s, Ducray entered the skincare market with the Ictyane line. Its formulation at the time was revolutionary and became the gold standard for dry skin. Following this, the brand continued its research in dermatological and hair care.
