What is Virbac Allermyl Dermatological Soothing and Moisturizing Shampoo 250 ml for Cats & Dogs?

Does your dog or cat scratch all the time? Is his or her skin irritated, dry or hypersensitive? Perhaps it's time to revamp your skincare routine with a dermatological shampoo specifically formulated for sensitive skin. That's exactly what Virbac Allermyl Shampoo Dermatologique Apaise et Hydrate Chat & Chien 250 ml offers, a veterinary hygiene product designed to relieve itching, reduce skin discomfort and strengthen the skin barrier in pets prone to dermatological disorders.

This veterinary shampoo does more than simply cleanse: it intensely moisturizes the skin, helps restore its hydrolipidic film and supports the natural microbial flora. Thanks to the presence of the patented Skin Lipid Complex™, it promotes the reconstitution of essential skin lipids. The result: a soothed epidermis, better protected and less reactive to external aggressions, whether environmental or parasitic.

Another strong point of this shampoo is its S-I-S (Skin Innovative Science) technology, a unique advance developed by Virbac. This technology is based on an intelligent delivery system that ensures better distribution of active ingredients on the skin and in the coat. In other words, each application becomes more effective, more targeted, with visible results faster. The promise of gentle, high-performance care.

Virbac Allermyl Shampoo's active ingredients don't stop there. Thanks to Glycotechnology and Defensin Technology, this treatment helps limit the adhesion of pathogens to the skin, while supporting the skin's natural defenses. A veritable protective shield is created, leaving the animal's skin healthy, supple and less prone to chronic irritation. The shampoo also contains Piroctone olamine, renowned for its purifying properties, making it a powerful ally against skin imbalances.

Finally, with the addition of vitamin F, rich in essential fatty acids such as linoleic and linolenic acid, the formula boosts the shampoo's restorative power. It deeply nourishes, improves skin suppleness and helps limit redness. The coat becomes softer, shinier and the skin regains its balance.

In short, Virbac Allermyl Shampoo is a complete, highly tolerated treatment for dogs and cats suffering from itching, irritation or skin imbalances. It is particularly recommended in cases of allergic or atopic dermatitis, or when the skin barrier is weakened.

We also offer Beaphar 100 Tablets Yeast Beer For Dogs and Cats, at the best price in our online pharmacy.

How do I use this Shampoo to relieve your pet's itching?

Start by thoroughly wetting your pet's coat with lukewarm water. Then apply an appropriate amount of shampoo to the whole body. Gently massage the product into the skin, then rinse once. Repeat the application, leave on for 5 to 10 minutes to allow the active ingredients to take full effect, then rinse thoroughly.

The treatment should be repeated 2 or 3 times a week for three consecutive weeks, or as recommended by your veterinarian.

Expert advice

As a pharmacy specializing in natural veterinary care, we recommend combining this dermatological shampoo with a holistic care routine for sensitive pets. You can add supplements rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids (salmon oil, krill oil) to your dog or cat's diet to support the skin barrier from within. A course of probiotics for pets can also help rebalance the microbiota, often implicated in skin problems.

In phytotherapy, certain plants such as borage, calendula and chamomile can be used as supplements (in lotion or external solution form) for their natural soothing and anti-inflammatory effects. However, always consult a veterinarian before introducing complementary products, even natural ones.
