Naturactive Feminactiv Intimate Flora is a dietary supplement designed for women, consisting of two separate capsules to be taken together. The first capsule provides one billion CFU of two identified strains of lactobacilli, Lactobacillus rhamnosus GR-1® and Lactobacillus reuteri RC-14®, combined under the name UREX®. Lactobacilli are the naturally predominant bacteria in the vaginal microbiota: these two strains are among the probiotics intended for the intimate flora, taken orally.
The second capsule combines a plant extract with a vitamin. Vitamin B2, or riboflavin, helps maintain healthy mucous membranes: each capsule provides 0.21 mg, which is 15% of the Reference Nutrient Intakes.
This same capsule contains 140 mg of concentrated dry extract from common ash (Fraxinus excelsior) leaves. Ash leaves, long used to make herbal tea, are included here in a concentrated form: ash facilitates urinary elimination.
Feminactiv Intimate Flora should be taken for temporary discomfort, over a short, defined period rather than continuously. Separating the two formulations allows for the combination of live lactobacilli and a plant extract without mixing them in the same capsule.
For daily hygiene during and after the treatment, we recommend Weleda’s Extra-Gentle Intimate Wash. The capsules work from the inside; the external intimate area, however, should be washed once a day with a gentle product, rather than with harsh soap or a vaginal douche.

Yes, provided you space out the doses: an antibiotic can destroy some of the lactobacilli taken at the same time. It’s standard practice to leave at least three hours between taking the antibiotic and the probiotic capsule. The Plant & Vitamin capsule is not affected by this timing requirement.
Can I use Feminactiv Flore Intime alongside a prescribed topical treatment, such as vaginal suppositories or a cream?
The two are administered through different routes and are not mutually exclusive. The supplement is never a substitute for local treatment: the local treatment should be continued until completion, for the full prescribed duration, and the prescribing healthcare provider should be informed that you are taking the supplement.
Does Feminactiv Flore Intime address vaginal dryness?
