Description Biocanina Shampoo with Tetramethrin BCN 200 ml

Biocanina Shampoo with Tetramethrin BCN 200 ml is recommended for the treatment of infestations by fleas, lice and ticks for cats and dogs. The tetramethrin contained in this treatment is a molecule of the family of pyrethroids. She was selected for its insecticide and acaricide activity. The molecule exerts its action by contact, by blocking the transmission of nerve impulses in insects. These effects are attributed to changes in membrane permeability of axons, the sodium and potassium ions.

Biocanina use of shampoo to the Council Tetramethrin BCN 200 ml

External use.
Use 1.5 ml of shampoo per kg body weight (1.5 mg per kg of tetramethrin) or about 25 ml of shampoo for an animal of 15 kg.
Fully Wet the animal with lukewarm water. Apply shampoo on the back and neck being careful to avoid the eyes. Rubbed vigorously by adding water if necessary, to obtain an abundant foam to spread over the whole body of the animal.
Leave for 5 minutes and rinse thoroughly with warm water. Repeat the treatment twice a week if necessary.

Precaution of use

Do not use in kittens less than 2 months.
Do not use in sick or recovering animal or with extensive skin lesions.
Do not use in pregnant or lactating female.
Do not simultaneously use other insecticides pyrethroid family.
Avoid contact with eyes or mouth of the animal. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with water.

Adverse effects were observed in both target species, mainly in cats pincipalement nervous symptoms (lethargy, ataxia, tremors or convulsions), and gastrointestinal (vomiting, diarrhea) or not associated with anorexia. Treatment is symptomatic.

Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the drug

- Wash hands after use.
- Do not smoke, drink or eat during application.
- Avoid contact with eyes. In case of accidental exposure with eyes, rinse with water carefully. If irritation persists, consult a doctor.
- Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs.
