When should these nasal rinse tips be used?
Physiodose Silicone Tips for Saline Solution (pack of 6) are soft silicone tips designed for nasal irrigation with single-dose saline solution. Each tip attaches to the single-dose packet: it fits over the tip of the packet, so that the soft material rests at the entrance to the nostril as the saline flows out.
These tips are washable and reusable. The same tip can be used from one nasal rinse to the next: this way, you can keep the accessory from one box of saline solution to the next, without having to buy new ones each time.
Nasal irrigation is for the whole family: toddlers, older children, and adults alike. The same type of tip works for everyone, which simplifies your bathroom kit when several household members use it.
The tip fits both 5-ml and 10-ml single-dose packets. You can choose the packet size based on the person whose nose you’re rinsing, without changing the tip: a single box of tips is included with both saline solution sizes.
The tip is empty on its own: it requires a single-dose packet of saline solution. For this, we recommend Physiodose plant-based single-dose saline solution from the same brand. The single-dose packet provides the sterile saline solution, while the tip makes contact with the nostril: together, they form a single step.

Precautions
- Suitable for use starting at 4 months of age.
- Cleaning must be performed by an adult. Never leave a child unattended during use.
- For infants: Wash your hands before use, lay the child on their back or side while keeping their head turned to one side to prevent choking, then gently place the tip at the entrance of the nostril without pushing it in.
- The single-dose saline solution packets are for single use only: use a new packet for the other nostril.
- While using the product, avoid talking or breathing through your mouth to prevent coughing.
- For hygiene reasons, assign one tip to each person and do not share it between children.
- Clean the tip after each use with warm water and mild soap, rinse it thoroughly, and let it air dry. Do not expose it to direct heat, and do not use solvents or harsh chemicals.
- Immediately replace any tip that shows signs of wear, cracks, or deformation.
- Nasal irrigation is not a substitute for medical advice. For infants, consult a doctor if the child is tired, less responsive, or very restless; if their breathing becomes faster; if they have difficulty breathing and their chest caves in; or if they are feeding less well over several feedings or refusing the bottle or breast. Call 15 in case of distress, pauses in breathing, a bluish tint around the mouth, or if the child is unresponsive.
- This product is not a toy. Keep the tips out of the sight and reach of children.

Our expert advice on these nasal rinse tips
At the counter, the difficulty customers describe has less to do with the tip than with the pressure applied to the dispenser. Gentle, steady pressure is enough; emptying the dispenser all at once startles the child, causing them to tense up and making the next rinse more difficult. The flexible tip doesn’t allow for stronger pressure: it changes the material upon contact with the nostril, not the way you squeeze.
Having several tips on hand ensures you always have a dry one ready while another dries: this rotation is more important than the frequency of rinses for keeping a tip clean. Also keep in mind that the tip guides the solution but doesn’t suction anything out. When secretions remain at the edge of a toddler’s nostril—who doesn’t know how to blow their nose yet—a baby nasal aspirator takes over.
FAQ
Can I use Physiodose Silicone Tips with a nasal syringe instead of a single-dose packet?
Yes, the tip also fits onto a standard nasal syringe; use it according to the manufacturer’s instructions. For children, single-dose packets are still recommended for hygiene reasons.
Before 4 months of age, can I clean my baby’s nose without the Physiodose Silicone Tips?
Yes. Before this age, the single-dose pack should be used on its own: its soft, round tip is designed for an infant’s nostril. The silicone tip can be added later.
How many times a day can I use the Physiodose Silicone Tips?
Cleaning with saline solution can be done daily, usually one to six times a day as needed. For babies under 6 months old, it’s best to do this before meals and right before bedtime.
