Our advice from pharmacy experts for Berocca in Effervescent Tablets

  • Energy is on the plate.

To feel great, nothing better than eating 5 fruits and vegetables a day… everyone knows that. But do you know that your vegetables lose vitamins when cooked? And that your fruits, between the picking and the shelves of your supermarket become less rich in vitamins?
So as not to lose anything of their benefit, therefore favor short circuits: visit the producers or the local market. You will take the opportunity to discover new flavors ... full of VITAMINS!

  • Sleep to be more alert.

Sleeping well, and getting enough, is one of the keys to controlled energy. In fact, during deep sleep, your body takes advantage of this to "repair" the damage of the day and distribute the nutrients absorbed during the day. In addition, there is evidence that "good sleepers" increase their ability to memorize and concentrate. A good night's sleep is therefore synonymous with a great day!

Move to live better.
Whether you're hiking, jogging or boxing ... Physical activity is as good for your brain as it is for your body.

  • Smile in the face of adversity.

What do you do when life gets in your way? You're trying to laugh about it, aren't you? You are right ! Simply because the simple act of laughing triggers the production of endorphins, hormones that can reduce anxiety and protect the immune system.
Laughing is also an excellent exercise because it relaxes you and forces you to breathe deeply. A real pressure relief valve!

  • Learn constantly.

When the brain stops being used ... It stagnates. While on the contrary, this wonderful sponge - of which we would only use an average of 10 or 15% of the possibilities according to the legendary quote by Albert Einstein - is just waiting to be fed! How? 'Or' What ? By learning a new language, deepening the culture of a foreign country or communicating with interesting people, etc.
So let's stay students all our lives, it's good for the mind!

LEXICON (summary)

anemia
Decreased hemoglobin level in the blood, which most often results in a decrease in the number of red blood cells. Iron is essential for the synthesis of hemoglobin. Iron deficiency during pregnancy, vegetarian diet, heavy or repeated bleeding (menstruation) is a common cause of anemia. Other, rarer causes are related to vitamin B deficiencies.

shortcomings
Deficiency usually related to nutrients, vitamins, minerals, etc. A diversified diet is the best prevention of deficiencies.

cyclins
Family of antibiotics used especially in the treatment of acne and certain genital infections.

diuretic
Drug allowing an increased elimination of water by the kidneys. Most often, this loss of water follows the loss of salts caused by the drug (salidiuretic).
Diuretics are mainly used in the treatment of high blood pressure, while their mechanism of action in this disease is poorly understood. They are also prescribed in acute or chronic heart failure, edema and other more rare conditions.
These drugs cause a loss of sodium and potassium (except for some of them called "potassium sparing"). Their prolonged intake therefore requires regular control of blood potassium, to avoid the cardiac disorders that could result from hypokalemia (lack of potassium in the blood). Lack of sodium is another possible consequence, but rarer at usual dosages, from prolonged use of diuretics; it is also detected by a blood test.

renal failure
Inability of the kidneys to eliminate waste or drug substances. Advanced renal failure does not necessarily result in a decrease in the amount of urine eliminated. Only a blood test and the determination of creatinine can reveal this disease.

gallstone
Concretion (stone) that forms in the excretory ways of certain organs: urinary, biliary, salivary.
Synonym: calculation.

metabolism
The whole of the transformation actions that the organism carries out, resulting in the creation of energy or the development of various substances. There is anabolism (manufacturing metabolism) of catabolism (degradation metabolism).

palpitations
Abnormal perception of irregular heartbeat.

phenylketonuria
Hereditary disease that is characterized by the absence of an enzyme and which leads to the accumulation in the blood of a toxic product. Its screening is systematic at birth. Treatment is based on a specific diet during infancy.

salt
Chemical substance of which the best known is sodium chloride, or table salt. Diet salt does not contain sodium; it is usually replaced by potassium.

sodium
Mineral substance that can form salts, especially with chlorine (sodium chloride, or table salt).

vitamins
Substance essential for the growth and the good functioning of the organism. Vitamin requirements are normally covered by a varied diet. In developed countries, only vitamin D deficiency in young children or the elderly with little sun exposure justifies routine supplementation. An intake greater than the needs, by drugs in particular, can be at the origin of an overdose and various disorders (vitamins A and D essentially).

way
  • Path (route of administration) used to administer the drugs: oral, sublingual, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous, intradermal, transdermal.
  • Set of hollow organs allowing the passage of air (airways), food (digestive tract), urine (urinary tract), bile (bile ducts), etc.
