toothpaste contains an antiseptic , hexétidine, which reinforces the action of brushing on the teeth. Hexétidine destroys the germs that develop plaque .
It is used in the adjunct treatment of inflammation of the gums.
toothpaste can be used during pregnancy or lactation.
toothpaste completes the basic action of tooth brushing. Good brushing lasts 2 to 3 minutes; it relates to the surface of the teeth and their lateral faces.
Place the equivalent of a dab of toothpaste on the previously wet brush.
This toothpaste can also be used to massage painful gums.
- Adult: brushing teeth and gums, 3 times a day after meals.
To allow prolonged action of the protective substances contained in the toothpaste, do not multiply the rinses.

This medication is indicated for the adjunctive treatment of gingivitis (inflammation of the gums) in adults.
· if you are allergic to hexetidine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine, listed in section 6.
Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using HEXTRIL 0.1 PERCENT, toothpaste.
This specialty contains terpene derivatives in the formula that can cause, in excessive doses, neurological convulsions in infants and children. Observe the recommended dosages and duration of treatment (see How to use HEXTRIL 0.1 PERCENT, toothpaste).
This medication contains sodium methyl parahydroxybenzoate and may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed).
This medicine contains cetyl alcohol and may cause local skin reactions (eg eczema).
Do not swallow.
DO NOT LEAVE THIS MEDICINE WITHIN THE REACH OF CHILDREN.
Prolonged use (more than 10 days) of this drug is undesirable as it can alter the natural microbial balance of the mouth.
If symptoms worsen or no improvement after 10 days, CONSULT YOUR PHYSICIAN.
Children and adolescents
Other medicines and HEXTRIL 0.1 PERCENT, toothpaste
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.
HEXTRIL MINT 0.1 PERCENT solution for mouthwash with food and beverages
In case of breastfeeding, it is best not to use this medicine.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Driving and using machines
HEXTRIL 0.1 PERCENT, toothpaste has no or negligible effect on the ability to drive and use machines.
HEXTRIL 0.1 PERCENT, Toothpaste contains Sodium Methyl Parahydroxybenzoate and Cetyl Alcohol
Carefully brush your teeth and gums daily:
· 3 times a day, after each meal
· in the vertical direction, from the gingiva to the end of the tooth
Careful brushing takes about 3 minutes.
This toothpaste can be used in massages of the gum with a finger or a soft brush, in case of gums particularly painful.

· it can not be adapted to another case,
· do not advise another person.

Duration of treatment
The duration of use is limited to 10 days.
If you use more HEXTRIL 0.1 PERCENT, toothpaste than you should
Overdose is not expected under normal conditions of use. Some components of this medicine (essential oils) can cause excessive doses, neurological accidents in children (convulsions type) and in elderly people (type of agitation and confusion).
In case of old or recent epilepsy, ask your doctor for advice.
If you forget to use HEXTRIL 0.1 PERCENT, toothpaste
Do not use a double dose to make up for the dose you forgot to take.

Cases of allergic reactions of the skin and mucous membranes, most often with swelling of the face, neck, inflammation of the mouth have been reported with undetermined frequency (can not be estimated from the available data) .
