LifeScan One Touch Verio Blood Glucose Strips collect blood from the fingertip, palm or forearm.

Characteristics :

• Test strip whose end automatically aspirates blood
• Gripping strip over its entire surface
• Blood sample that can be applied to either side of the strip

OneTouch Verio Test Strips are for use with the OneTouch Verio IQ Meter, OneTouch Verio Pro, and OneTouch Verio Glycemic Self-Monitoring Device to measure the amount of glucose in the blood.

Directions for use and advice

Insert the OneTouch Verio ^® test strip into the slot provided for this purpose with the gold side of the test strip and the two silver tabs facing you. (insert the two tabs into the slot of the blood glucose meter).

• When the Apply Blood screen appears, you can apply your blood sample to both sides of the test strip (toward the groove opening).
• Apply the sample to the groove opening.
• Make sure to apply your sample as soon as you release a drop of blood.
• Hold the meter at a slight angle, orient the groove to the drop of blood.
• When it comes into contact with your sample (drop of blood), the test strip routes blood through the groove. The groove must be completely filled.
• The groove turns red and the counter counts down from 5 to 1.
• The top of the test strip or its top edge should not be covered with blood.

Storage and handling

• Store the test strips in a cool, dry place at a temperature below 30 ° C.
• Protect them from direct sunlight and any source of heat.
• Do not place them in the refrigerator.
• Always keep your test strips in the original vial, do not transfer them to another vial or container.
• After removing the OneTouch® Verio® test strip from the vial, immediately replace the vial cap and close it securely.
• Use each strip immediately after removing it from the vial.
• Do not use test strips that come from a damaged vial or that has been exposed to air.

Precaution of use

• Write the discard date on the bottle when you first open it.
• Six months after first opening the vial, discard the remaining OneTouch Verio Test Strips.
• Avoid getting the upper end of the test strip dirty with dust or food.
• You can touch the entire strip with clean, dry hands.
• Do not use the test strips after the expiry date stated on the package.
• The strips should only be used once.
• Make sure the meter and test strip are close in temperature before performing a test.
