Precaution of use
In animals: The product is water resistant; it remains effective if the animal becomes wet. However, it should avoid prolonged exposure to water and intense or intensive shampooing because the product activity duration may be reduced. Studies show that immersion in water or a monthly shampoo does not shorten significantly the holdover 8 months against ticks after release of active substances on the coat, while efficacy against fleas decreases gradually from the 5th month.
For the user: Store the bag containing the necklace in its box until required. As with any veterinary medicinal product does not allow young children to play with the collar or to put them in their mouth. Animal wearing the collar should not be allowed to sleep in the same bed as their owners, especially children. People with known hypersensitivity to collar ingredients should avoid direct contact with it. Immediately remove all remnants or scraps of clamp (see section "Dosage and administration route"). Wash hands with cold water after the establishment of the collar.
Occasionally, mild behavioral disorders that can include scratching at the application site may be observed in animals not accustomed to wearing collars during the first days of its establishment.
Ensure that the collar Seresto Chat is not too tight. Mild reactions at the application site as pruritus, erythema, hair loss, can occur. These reactions have been rarely reported in cats and usually resolve within 1 or 2 weeks without having to remove the collar.
In some cases, temporary withdrawal of pest control collar may be recommended until the symptoms disappear. In very rare cases in cats, reactions at the application site such as dermatitis, inflammation, eczema or damage can occur and in such cases it is recommended to remove the necklace Seresto. In cats, in rare cases mild and transient reactions as depression, change in food intake, salivation, vomiting and diarrhea can occur early.
