Description of Corebral Injectable 50ml

This injectable solution is formulated with vitamins B1 and B6 for animals . It helps to treat deficiencies in cattle, goats, sheep and dogs .

Vitamin B1, also called thiamine hydrochloride, is essential for the nutrition of the nervous system, muscles and glands . It plays a role in the metabolism of carbohydrates during the process of muscle contraction. A vitamin B1 deficiency leads to an accumulation of toxic waste, resulting from the approximate breakdown of carbohydrates in the blood and tissues, causing major discomfort in the central nervous system.

Vitamin B6 also known as pyridoxine hydrochloride plays a role in the transformation of amino acids . It is essential in the metabolism of tryptophan and therefore plays a role in the composition of hemoglobin. It also mobilizes hepatic glycogen and acts in muscle and cardiac contractions.

Pharmacokinetic properties of Corebral injection :
The assimilation of vitamin B1 by IM route is rapid and complete. It is stored in tissues and is particularly concentrated in the brain, liver, kidneys and heart. It is evacuated through the urine.
Vitamin B6 is mainly stored in the liver, then excreted in the urine mainly in the form of metabolites.

Directions for use for this vitamin injection for animals

For cattle, sheep, goats, dogs: 1 ml per 10 kg bodyweight per day (= 4.46 mg / kg of thiamine and 2.06 mg / kg of pyridoxine).
Usually a single injection is sufficient.
It is important to intervene quickly at the first signs of the disease .
The doses can be doubled according to the advice of the attending veterinarian.

Off-label dosage for NACs: (1)

• For Ferrets: 0.05 ml / kg by IM or SC route
• For Reptiles: 50 to 100 mg / kg IM or SC
