Inule Odorante essential oil is highly concentrated in bornyl acetate, borneol and camphene. These molecules give it the following main properties:
mucolytic +++ : Inule Odorante essential oil contains terpenes which thin the mucus, a liquid secreted in large quantities by the respiratory mucous membranes during an infection.
expectorant, anticatarrhal ++ : terpenes help expel mucus from the trachea or bronchi, which frees up the airways.
antispasmodic, antitussive ++ (bornyl acetate): bornyl acetate helps calm digestive or respiratory muscle spasms. It helps in particular to reduce the cough reflex by limiting the contraction of the respiratory muscles.
fungicide ++ : the essential oil of Inule Odorante helps to fight against the development of fungi thanks to the action of borneol.
antibacterial ++ (borneol, camphene): the borneol and camphene contained in this essential oil prevent the development and growth of bacteria in the body.
tonic, heart regulator ++ : this essential oil promotes the proper functioning of the heart and helps regulate the heart rate, thus reducing disorders related to states of arrhythmia or tachycardia.
